 September 19, 2011
Kathy opted not to go to Xplor, The rest of us braved it and our first activity was paddling a raft through an underground cave - Our oars were like ping pong paddles attached to our hands.
It took Larry and I a lot longer to get out of the cave and when we did, Tom and Jim were in a panic and on their way to go back in and find us. Multiply our combined ages by 10 minutes and we didn't do too badly though.
In the center of the cave, there was a huge beating heart. I kept thinking about Poe's story of "The Tell Tale Heart" and I could see how it might drive one crazy.
Travel and change of place impart new vigor to the mind. Seneca
The zip line was the big attraction on this trip. The park had three, all of which had different levels of difficulty
The second and third level of the zip line was passed up by Barb and Larry since you had to climb nine (9) flights of stairs to get to their starting point. It was probably just as well as Barb has an aversion to heights anyway.
The last activity was driving amphibious ATV's
 Yachting days
 OUR OWN
I have wandered all my life, and I have also traveled; the difference between the two being this - that we wander for distraction, but we travel for fulfillment. Hilaire Belloc
Besides having a wonderful time snorkeling, etc., we had a couple of things occur. | The preceding photos as well as the photos on this page were taken on the yacht to which we have a membership, We spent a whole day aboard the yacht with the Captain (Captain Guillermo) and his 1st mate
First of all, a catamaran pulled up beside us with about 20 people aboard who decided skinny dipping would be fun - pictures follow. The other thing was a school of dolphins followed us back home when we came back in. Pictures of that also follow.
To the right, two young men were paddle boarding when they saw the catamaran with the nude swimmers. They made a speedy move to the boat and proceeded to help the bathing beauties sans clothes learn how to use the boards. | Our meal at sea included roast chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy served by the First Mate. The trip included all we could drink as well as a seafood dip and chips. | What form and balance!!!!
The picture at the right shows a hotel being built, but we really were trying to capture a pelican sitting on a post. | Our bathing beauty got all the help she needed learning how to use the paddle board.
So exciting!! Our dolphin escorts were beautiful!!!!!!!! They travel in families. There was one mama and daddy with their two little ones, The mama raised a fuss if the babies got too close to the yacht.
Off the bow of the yacht, one of our dolphins got very curious.
Amazing animals!! We talked to them from the yacht and they seemed to hear and understand. The beauty of the clear blue water couldn't be escaped either.
God's beauty cannot be denied, How fortunate are all his creatures
Those fins almost look like shark fins!!
So many pictures of the sea and the dolphins; however, we have tried to get pictures before of dolphins and were unsuccessful, soooooo Dolphin-mania!
A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving. Lao Tzu
Back home again! Beautiful day full of memories. On the right is the Oasis Resort.......
Where we stayed on our honeymoon
Move Over Arnie. Tom is here and rarin' to go!
 Playacar is the golf course!
You name them and they're yours
 Greens and Clubhouse are exquisite
This course was a lot easier to play than the last one
 September 21, 2011
Hey Tom, You need to learn the words of the hit song........
"I lost my balls at Playacar" (in Spanish, of course)
 MAKING MEMORIES
A full day of golf and then back home for a wonderful dinner
Barb and Larry took the gang out to dinner at Royal Mayan for good food and Duran's lovely guitar music
We say goodbye again until next year. The bottom right picture is our half unit & the knick knack is my usual souvenir
