FC: Ethan Liam Baby to Boy Book

August 29, 2009 Overlook Hospital Summit, NJ Daddy, Safta, Doula Carolyn and Dr. Alam were all helping momma and waiting for Ethan to come and play. Everyone else was anxiously following the news over phone calls and text messages

Hooray! You are finally here! You were born at 2:15pm. You were 7lb 2oz and 20.5" long. You had lots of hair! The doctor said that you were really cute and he sure was right. Daddy went with you to be cleaned and measured while the doctor finished helping momma. The nurse told daddy how exceptionally alert you were. Daddy sang you songs and told you stories until we were all united.

LOVE at first sight First Family Phots

You were so expressive with your hands - like an orchestra conductor. | Month 1 We were busy getting to know each other. Daddy stayed home with us for a couple of weeks. He loved holding you and watching football. Momma and you took many walks in the crisp fall air. You were snuggled up in her wrap that she wore you in. 16: December 2009 First Snow First Holidays So busy!

 Happy Hanukah!

On Christmas Eve we waited for Santa Clause to come around East Hanover as he does every year on the back of a fire truck! | You didn't care for him that much... He can be a little scary for a little bear like you.

8 Months Old You are now really getting around. At first you crawled in the style we liked to call "the wounded soldier" but you perfected your style. You are lifting yourself up, holding on to furniture. We are outside all the time. Often times, the only way you would go to sleep is if momma walked with you snuggled in the Ergo baby carrier that was strapped on her. You babble and try to talk. One of your first words was moon. You learned that on one of our many nightly walks.

First Time at a Playground Weeeeee!

Father's Day at Split Rock Reservoir

9 Months Old You finally sprouted your first tooth! You can easily climb up the stairs now. You will be walking very soon!

10 Months Old This month you learned how to walk! It happened quite quickly once you realized how to do it. We are constantly amazed at how determined and quick you are learning new skills. This month you also had to have a small surgery. You did remarkably well! It is summer and we are having a blast playing outside!

11 Months Old and you are a quick moving, free spirited boy! This month, momma and you travelled to Buffalo to visit with some friends. It was so much fun! We also had visitors at home - grandma and grandpa came to see you and so did uncle Pash. At the height of the tomato season, you had to have one deliciously ripened tomato from safta's garden with every meal! Yum!

Photo Session with our friend Roni the photographer in the backyard

 Happy 1st Birthday

We celebrated your birthday on a beautiful day at the park with some close friends and family. You had plenty of room to show your running skills. We snacked on sandwiches and ate the monkey cake that Momma made for you. We rode around the park in a big bicycle parade in your honor. We all had a good time.
