1: George Washington Riley Smith

2: George Washington may have not been one of our greatest military leaders but he did everything he could to win. He was involved in many wars and battles for this country, including the French and Indian War, and the American Revolution.

3: Washington is known for being the Commander of the American Revolution. One of the greatest accomplishments Washington did in the American Revolution was the crossing of the Delaware River. This is significant because it was as surprise attack and because the Delaware River was so icy, that they put their lives at risk.

4: Foreign Policy was the main focus of Washington's second term. He wanted Foreign Policy because he wanted to keep the United States free from political connection with every other country. | He wanted the United States to be an independent and not to have any outside influences. Washington said he wanted American to act for ourselves and not others.

5: George Washington is called a national symbol for America because he was a role model for the American people. He was said to of played the most important in the making of this country, no one has made a bigger impact. Washington is credited for being the Father of Our Country. He served as a symbol for the nation and it's ideals.

6: George Washington contributed to this country because he established regulations for the presidency such as terms. Also, he established the national currency, which we still use today. | Washington also established the Judiciary Act which was adopted in September 24, 1789. The goal of the act was to establish the US federal judiciary.

7: Along with the presidency, Washington created cabinets. These cabinets were designed to help balance power in government and for Washington to consult other members of government. | Foreign Policy was another one of Washington's accomplishments that are still in effect today. This helped today because America is still independent, with our own government. | As Washington retired, he also created the tradition of the farewell address. The farewell address is compared to "a will" and is like he last political testament to the people
