FC: In Loving Memory of Jacoby Andrey Logan 2/9/1962 - 10/3/2011

1: Jacoby Andre Logan was born to Willie and Fannie Mae Logan on February 9 1962, in Los Angeles , California . Jacoby was the third son from that union. Though fondly remembered as "Coby" before there ever was a "Kobe," he grew up at 713 West 105th street , Los Angeles, California. Jacoby was educated at Woodcrest Elementary, Bret Harte Jr. High, and across town at Crenshaw High school, all in Los Angeles . In 1970, Jacoby along with mother Fannie Mae, and older brothers Willie and Rene, joined the New Jerusalem Church of God In Christ, in Compton, Calif. While there, Jacoby learned of his family's calling to the church, and, over the years, developed a loyal following to its teachings under pastor J.D. Jones (deceased). Though early on being in the shadows of older brothers -William "Willie"; a self-trained organist and minister & pastor, and Rene (Louis) a self taught sketch artist, Jacoby's ability to adapt and be master at whatever he set his mind to -including being a born leader and independent thinker, rivaled any of his brothers' physical talents. Jacoby truely flourished as a man. Chief, though, is that people genuinely liked, and loved Jacoby. A true friend and brother, he was. Jacoby was married to the former Tanya Logan, which produced three sons: Jorrell, and twins Cameron and Camden --the latter two who currently serve in the United States Navy. Jacoby and long time companion, Rhonda Lyons proudly produced three sons, too: Rashad, Deondre and Jacory Jacoby followed that relationship by marrying Dana Steinman, whose love for him was tested through thick and thin. Jacoby loved and was devoted to his family, close friend/s Mack Robinson and Dale Wilson, various friends nationwide, truck driving, Lakers' basketball, the game of basketball, motor cycling, and tinkering with and fixing things. Jacoby's status in the Logan brothers' triangle was the solid, bottom foundation of power and strength. Though that symbol of strength is changed now, it will, somehow, remain standing in honor of Jacoby's place in Logan lore. It must. In addition to his parents, and brothers, Jacoby leaves behind close family members including another son, Najee Logan of Detroit, MI., the Harris family, four nephews and other members of the Logan family. | Jacoby loved and was devoted to his family, close friend/s Mack Robinson and Dale Wilson, various friends nationwide, truck driving, Lakers' basketball, the game of basketball, motor cycling, and tinkering with and fixing things.
