The reason i chose this topic of fashion in the 40's is because i am really interested in the current style and trend of things a the moment. | In the beginning i Had no clue what fashion was like in the 40's and now i know where our current fashion comes from after lots of research and determination.
What Did I Know ? I didn't know anything about fashion in the 40's which is why i chose the topic i am interested and always have been interested in fashion and this was my time to learn about the origin
The first thing i wanted to know what what is fashion in order to know the fashion in the 40's you must know what fashion is In one of my sources i found that fashion is the current style and or custom in a certain area at a certain time i wanted to know this in more depth so i went to a new source and found that Fashion is what is current and new in the moment which was similar to my first definition.
Next i wanted to know the typical dress what was normal for them in the 40's I found that the women wore dresses usually black that complemented the tiny waist line they usually wore this with pumps. On the mens end of the spectrum they usually wore a cotton hat Jacket with side fasteners, corduroy slacks, blue or black plaid shirt, brown moccasins and a scarf.
Women Double Breasted Jackets Flats High Waisted Pants | What parts of their style have been brought back today? | Men Wool Heavy Silk
Fashion in the 40's was a very difficult topic but, very interesting i found out lots of new things and trends that were very different than todays fashion. there were many things that were just alike to our today fashion which goes to show that fashion is a renewable source nothing is ever out of style.
I Learned That.. | Fashion has and will still be brought back into different times | They wore things that were available at the time their resources were limited | During the war most money was used to make the uniforms for soldiers so there was very little left for daily life clothes
