2: April 20,1893 Barcelona | Joan Miro was born of a watchmaking father and a goldsmith mother. By this he was exposed to the arts at a very young age. There have been some drawings recovered from him when he was 8 years old. Miro enrolled in school at the School of Industrial and Fine Arts in Barcelona for 9 years. He was taught by Modest Urgell and Josep Pascó.

4: 1911 Typhoid Fever | After overcoming a serious case of the typhoid fever. Miro decided to devote his life entirely to painting by attending the school of art taught by Francesc Galí.
