S: To Judy -- February 3, 2011
FC: Happy 41st Birthday, Judy! | From your family & friends.
To my wife... February 3, 2011
Remember this guy? This was over twenty years ago? This version of Joe was a lot younger, 35 lbs lighter, had more hair and still had a visible adam's apple. | He met this beautiful girl and fell in love!
The years that followed were filled with many memories; some sad, some difficult, some exciting -- all part of God's wonderful plan. Only the mind of God could craft a story like ours. I am no longer that skinny, young Joe. Don't let the face fat, the belly and less hair fool you into believing this is a worse Joe. I am truly a blessed man because God brought you into my life. With you by my side, I am a more mature, wise and complete person! | "For I know the plans that I have for you, 'declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." (Jer. 29:11)
Dear mom, Happy birthday! Thank you for loving and caring for me even though I don't always deserve it. Also, please know that I appreciate everything that you do for me, even if I don't act like it. Love Zach.
Time to Celebrate! Happy Birthday Judy! Dear Judy, I thank God that you are my sister. It's been such a blessing to see how we've grown and changed over the years. Thank you for letting me be a part of your growing family! You've always been a protector, and I know there is a part of you that will always worry about and fight for those you love. It's the mama in you. Thank you for all the laughter and comfort you've given me over the years. I hope there are many more years to come! Love, Karissa
Dear Cousin Judy, Remember the time when we used to record how much we loved Ja-ja-myun on your little tape recorder? You pretended that you were a news reporter asking me what I thought of the noodle dish and if I thought it was the best food in the world. How about the time when we mixed up all your playdoh together and it turned gray -- we were so upset that we couldn't undo the gray and make it back to the different colors again! Do you remember playing Josie and the Pussycats? Your Mom would curl our hair and you would play air guitar as Josie and I would pretend to bang on drums. We rocked! And let's not forget all the crank calls we made... to all the boys in Jr. High at Moorpark back in the 80's -- we apologize! Judy, we shared so much during our childhood and I will cherish everyone of those memories. I am so proud of your courage, strength and bravery in everything you have achieved: being a daughter, sister, wife, and mother. You are very special to all of us. Happy Birthday our dear Judy! Love, Susie | My dear Cousin Judy, I'll never forget the time when your Mom and Dad took us on my first fishing trip. I was 9 and you were 5, so naturally we wanted to free the live anchovies. We threw several buckets overboard and boy was everyone on the boat mad at us! Especially the lady who got hit by the anchovies we had just freed! Remember the time when we visited the circus for the first time? It was 1977 when your Mom, who was pregnant with Karissa, took you, me, Susie and Jay to Circus Vargas. We were so bored and thought all the clowns were scary! We couldn't believe that we didn't like the circus! There are so many memories that I hold dear to my heart and I must thank you for helping me create them. We certainly went on a lot of adventures back when we were kids. And I look forward to creating more memories with you in the years to come. Happy Birthday Judy! Love always, Jina
I know it's been many years, but do you remember how we became childhood friends? I was the new kid at school, and was getting pushed around. You defended me, and I knew right then that we would be friends. Thanks for many happy memories, and I wish you a wonderful Birthday! P.S. Sorry, but these were the "best" pics I could find...Love, Dana
Judy! Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday! It has been way too long! I am not even quite sure how we first met in high school, but I am so grateful that God allowed our paths to cross! You are a jewel. Thanks for great memories. Hope to see you soon! | Love, Tina
Happy Birthday Judy! Thank you for all the times that can only be described as PRICELESS. Look at how young we were! I am so glad that you came and talked to me in class. It feels like yesterday that we would go out on "family" outings. The location was never important, all that mattered was that we had each other. You will always mean so much to me and be an inspiration as a mother, wife and great human being. Much Love, Lynn | It's not fair that you look great in all these pictures!

Sister-In-law What a blessing to be able to share our family life together... kids, holidays, vacations, late night Catan, trials and joys of life. Wouldn't want it any other way. | Friend You have been my encourager, loyal companion, entertainer, prayer-warrior, confidant and loving presence in my life. I am so grateful that the Lord orchestrated it this way... | Roommate Memories of you rattling the apartment with your heavy-walking, pimple-pinching, belching like a man, arms swinging wildly & inflicting pain on innocent passer- byers, "OOMPH!" | Happy Birthday to my... | Much joy and blessing to you. I love you, Judy!

It's sweet of Joe to put together a scrapbook for Judy's 4oth birthday, but if she is turning 40, so are we (Sonia, Cindy, and I). Thanks, Joe, for reminding us! Judy, I thank God for you and your friendship. You are one of a few people I know who teaches me about courage and a giving heart. Happy Birthday! Love, Sherie
“but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.” ~ Isaiah 40:31-32 | always helping . . . | always loving . . . | always caring. | JUDY, WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE YOU AS FAMILY IN OUR LIVES. EVERYTHING YOU DO DOES NOT GO BY UNNOTICED OR UNAPPRECIATED. MAY YOU CONTINUE TO SOAR AND NOT GROW WEARY WITH THE STRENGTH OF OUR LORD. LOVE, JOHNNY, LIANNE, PEYTON, SHANNON & AVERY | . . .
December 3rd, 2010 Dearest Judy, Happy 41st Birthday, dear sister! When I consider a faithful friend, servant sister, and wise woman of God, I think of you. You are probably one of the most faithful wives to your husband I know. You show this faithfulness in the way that you have supported and helped Joe in the thick and thin of your marriage, motherhood and ministry, always cheering him on and seeking to encourage him and your children with delicious and nutritious meals, entertaining family with gracious hospitality, and supporting all of his career changes and decisions. You are also resourceful, for you know how to stretch a dollar and make it appear as if you spent ten. You encourage this same joyful resourcefulness in Natalie and Zachary. Along the way, you continue to bless others with your total servant’s heart! If there is a need in someone’s life, whether practical or spiritual, you are there to be God’s hands. I will never forget how you singlehandedly took care of Phoebe and Apollos during our “group family vacation” so Gary could take me to the hospital at Lake Nacimiento; you were such a Godsend and still are to so many! Your servant hands reflect a heart that loves her Savior and is continually grateful to be in His presence.
Last, but not least, you are a wise woman of God. You know how to organize thoughts, ideas and tangible items for the betterment of your home, family, friends and the body of Christ. I love how you had Joe install those earthquake locks on your kitchen cabinets to prevent an inevitable disaster – what foresight and planning. I love how you display your children’s creativity and Christ’s beauty in your home. I love your transparent nature that puts anyone at ease. Even in the midst of numerous trials in your precious health, you demonstrate a steadfast trust and strength in Christ that few women possess. I am so blessed to have known you for over a decade, Judy, and I pray for our friendship to keep growing in His grace! Thank you for being a beautiful picture of God’s hope, grace and love to us. With Christ’s Love & ours, Tracy, for Gary, Phoebe, Apollos and Manny, too Strength and dignity are her clothing, And she smiles at the future. Proverbs 31:25

Judy , you are the big sister that I never had but always wanted! I appreciate the Godly advice you've given me over the years as a friend, daughter, wife and now as a mommy. You always keep it real and that's why I love you! I will always cherish our times together...late night chats over crepes, girls get-togethers, pre-marital sessions and so many more times of sweet fellowship. You are an inspiration in selflessness, hospitality and loving God and others. Thank you! Love and miss you, Mel | Happy Birthday, Judy!

Happy birthday, Judy!! Sadly I have no pictures of us together, so I put a couple of random ones together. Yes, that is Billy Blanks, our old workout buddy. It seems like so long ago when we used to knit together, do Tae Bo, and hang out when the guys had basketball. Thanks for welcoming me in when I moved to LA. Matt and I are so thankful for the friendship and support of you and Joe over these years, and we look forward to seeing you guys up here soon! :) Love, Matt & Mel
Dearest Judy, Can you believe that it's been over 10 years since you guys lived in Canada?!?!?!? I feel like it was just yesterday when I would come play with Zach and sing him the Marineland song! ;-) Sadly, I couldn't find any pictures from way back then, so I thought instead I would just throw a little bit of Canada into this page with our flag! ;-) I am so thankful that the Lord brought you and Joe to Canada even if it was for such a short amount of time. I truly have such fond memories of your time here and all the time I spent with you guys, just hanging out at your apartment until all hours of the night!!! You are such an amazing, strong, Godly woman, wife and mother and I feel so blessed to call you my friend. I hope that you have an amazing birthday with your wonderful family. Please know that your Canadian family still thinks about you and misses you greatly and hopefully we can see each other more often than once a decade! :) Happy birthday, Judy! Love, Sally
