17: About the Author | I started taking pictures at the beginning of the school year, in digital photography class. At the beginning of my photography experience, I was interested in taking pictures of flowers, landscapes, and food. For this portfolio, I am displaying a few of my favorite pictures. During the Autumn Unit, I explored my interest in taking pictures of flowers, and and the techniques including correct lighting and aperture, and macro in order to get the best photos possible. I have always been interested in food photography, and I used that interest as a motive to creative quality, and artistic food pictures. The other units include portrait, fast and slow shutter speed, and landscapes. I enjoyed these units because I was able to use my creativity to make the desired outcome of the photograph. For the pictures in this portfolio, I used a DSLR camera, and a Cannon Point and Shoot. Also, for certain photographs I used a tripod, and adjusted the aperture, exposure compensation, and shutter speed to get the desired look of the photograph. To put all of the photographs together, I chose to make a book, for a more personal approach, and more classic look to my portfolio, that displays the techniques that I have learned in Digital Photography Class.
