 Friday, December 9th 2011 Keoniloa Beach - Po'ipu, Hawaii

Aloha and welcome. David and Dawn we are here to celebrate your marriage on this very special day. This is the day that you have chosen to formalize your love for one another with your vows to each other. Today we join together in the spirit of aloha, the spirit of love that has joined you together. This is a joyful and yet solemn time. You have chosen to wed here in Hawaii where we are blessed by many natural gifts. We have rainbows, beautiful flowers and spectacular sunsets. But perhaps the most powerful and beautiful force is the ocean. The ocean is deep and constantly changing, much like the love that you share. May your love be as deep and constant as the ocean, surviving all the changes that will come to you in your lives. This is the day when you proclaim your love and aloha to the world as you have already done to each other. There are no ties more sacred and tender than those you are about to proclaim.

David, will you take Dawn as your wife? Will you love, respect and cherish her? Will you support her quest for excellence, creativity, peace and joy in life? Will you also be honest with her and forgive her in moments of disharmony, and be a supportive husband to her? “I WILL”

"All that I am and all that I have, I offer to you today in love and in joy. I will cherish our friendship and love you today, tomorrow, and forever. I will trust you and honor you, I will laugh with you and cry with you. I will love you faithfully, through the best and the worst, when it is difficult and when it is easy. As I have given you my hand to hold, so I give you my life to keep."

 The ring blessing.

Your love is as the sea, constant and ever-changing. Your love is as the earth, solid and firm. Your love is as a flame, illuminating your lives and warming your hearts. Yet your love extends beyond the sea, earth and flame; it is greater than who you are and meaningless without you; it is more powerful than your past yet the foundation for your future. It has brought you here today to become one for all the days to come. Your love is the essence of your lives. The rings you give and receive this day are the symbols of the endless love into which you enter as husband and wife. Such a love has no beginning and no ending. As you look upon these rings in the months and years to come may they be a perpetual reminder of your love.

"Dawn, I give this ring as a symbol of my love that is complete and endless. From this day forward you shall not walk alone. My heart will be your shelter and my arms will be your home. And with this ring I thee wed."

"David, I give this ring as a symbol of my love that is complete and endless. From this day forward you shall not walk alone. My heart will be your shelter and my arms will be your home. And with this ring I thee wed."

There may be some times that are difficult. In those times remember this day in its simplicity and beauty. Search your hearts and find there the love and forgiveness that will see you through all trials. Together you are far greater than you were apart, feel that power and let it help you. Your love, trust and respect for each other are the basis of your vows. May these things stay with you through both the good and the bad times. May you bring out the best in each other and become even closer than you are now.

By the authority vested in me by the State of Hawaii and recognizing your commitment, desire and declaration to each other I pronounce you husband and wife!

The exchange of leis here in Hawaii is a sign of our aloha for each other. Aloha is in each hand picked blossom woven together. May the fragrance of the leis remain in your hearts forever as a symbol of your love. David and Dawn you will exchange your leis to symbolize your shared unending love and commitment to one another.

"Dawn, I give you this lei, as a pledge of my love and as a symbol of our unity. I pledge my faith as your partner, now and forever more." | "David, I give you this lei, as a pledge of my love and as a symbol of our unity. I pledge my faith as your partner, now and forever more."
