Scholarship We take pride in having one of the highest cumulative GPA's on campus. All of our young women are dedicated to their education and doing their best at Penn State | There are Study Hours every Monday in a classroom on campus where the girls can do any school work they may have with the support of their sisters. | There is a Classy Pi Phi award that is given out during chapter. Each girl who attends all of her classes for the week enters her name into a drawing to be selected and awarded for her dedication.
All of the girls are required to hold a 3.5 GPA to remain in good academic standing. | During Parent's Weekend there is an award ceremony held during our banquet that honors the girls for their hard work all semester long. The awards include: -Highest Big/Little GPA -4.0 GPA -Pi Society: 3.65 and above -Closest GPA to Pi -Dean's List | Congrats Seniors!

Fraternity Heritage We have activities during chapter that our VP of Fraternity Development leads that help us to remember the wonderful women who founded Pi Beta Phi. For Founder's Day this year we read quotes from all of the founders to gain a better understanding of who they were.
Parents weekend During Parents weekend the girls and their families participate in the Cure Autism Now 5k Run/Walk to help raise money for Autism. It is tradition for each pledge class to organize a dinner with all of the girls and their parents
To raise money for our philanthropic efforts, we hold a bake sale on Beaver Avenue in Downtown State College as well as hold a Chinese Auction during Parent's Weekend. | This year we began a new tradition for our chapter to raise money for philanthropic efforts. We partnered with the local McDonalds on College Avenue in Downtown State College for an event called Pi Burger Phri. All of the girls worked together to spread the word about the event around campus and when the day came there was a huge student turn out. The girls helped behind the counter in the restaurant as well as shared the goals of First Book with the restaurant's patrons. It was a huge success! To support literacy and First Book we went to Easterly Parkway Elementary school in State College, PA to read to 3rd and 4th grader's on Dr. Suess's birthday. | Philanthropy
To support the Champions Are Readers program we brought the reading program to Easterly Parkway Elementary School during the month of March. | We supported Cure Autism Now during Parent's weekend when we hosted a 5k run/walk for the community. | Another aspect of our philanthropic efforts is the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon which raises money for Pediatric Cancer research and families affected by Pediatric Cancer.
THON 2011: Together Without Limits Another aspect of philanthropy at Penn State is the IFC/Panhellenic Dance marathon. This year's theme was Together Without Limits.
This year was made even more special because both of our THON families could come to Penn State during the weekend. The Jarrett family came to support the memory of their daughter Courtney and the Thomas family was able to come with Aaron and spend the weekend with all of the girls.
THON raised a record breaking $9,563,016.09 for Pediatric Cancer this year! Pi Phi made a huge donation of $139,750.15 which put them in the top 5 fundraisers in the Greek Organization category. | One day we will dancer in celebration. Until then we dance for a cure. | One day we will dance in celebration. Until then we dance for a cure.
Pi Phi Convention 2011 This year's 68 Biennial Convention was held in Orlando Florida at the Walk Disney World Resort. Elizabeth Ferarra and Katie Gilmore both attended. They had a blast at the Convention and loved meeting other Pi Phi's from all over the country. They plan on bringing back some of the great ideas they learned and sharing with the rest of our chapter. They said that it was a great experience and they were very grateful to be able to go!
The girls loved meeting other Pi Phi's from around the country! | Representing Pennsylvania Epsilon!
