FC: CAN'T STOP THE | By: Jacob Seymour LA 5-6 A

I alone of English writers have consciously set myself to make music out of what I may call the sound of sense.

Table of Contents 4. Images 5. Fireflies lyrics 6. Fireflies lyrics 7. Fireflies lyrics 8. Song Explanation 9. Song Explanation 10. Kitchen Poem 11. Limerick 12. Limerick

Music is everybody's possession. It's only publishers who think that people own it.

You would not believe your eyes If ten million fireflies Lit up the world as I fell asleep 'Cause they'd fill the open air And leave teardrops everywhere You'd think me rude But I would just stand and stare I'd like to make myself believe That planet Earth turns slowly It's hard to say that I'd rather stay Awake when I'm asleep 'Cause everything is never as it seems

When I fall asleep Leave my door open just a crack (Please take me away from here) 'Cause I feel like such an insomniac (Please take me away from here) Why do I tire of counting sheep (Please take me away from here) When I'm far too tired to fall asleep To ten million fireflies I'm weird 'cause I hate goodbyes I got misty eyes as they said farewell But I'll know where several are If my dreams get real bizarre 'Cause I saved a few and I keep them in a jar I'd like to make myself believe That planet Earth turns slowly It's hard to say that I'd rather stay Awake when I'm asleep 'Cause everything is never as it seems When I fall asleep I'd like to make myself believe That planet Earth turns slowly It's hard to say that I'd rather stay Awake when I'm asleep 'Cause everything is never as it seems When I fall asleep More lyrics: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/o/owl_city/

I'd like to make myself believe That planet Earth turns slowly It's hard to say that I'd rather stay Awake when I'm asleep Because my dreams are bursting at the seams

You would not believe your eyes This is a hyperbole. You cannot believe or not believe your eyes. You see what you see. If ten million fireflies Lit up the world as I fell asleep This is a hyperbole because ten million fireflies would not light up the world Why do I tire of counting sheep This is another hyperbole. He is singing in the sense that he is asleep and counting sheep. You cannot get tired of sleeping.

Music is the voice that tells us that the human race is greater than it knows. | But I'll know where several are If my dreams get real bizarre 'Cause I saved a few and I keep them in a jar This is a personification as well. You cannot physically touch dreams and hold them in a jar, but you can store them in memory. Because my dreams are bursting at the seams This is a personification. Dreams cannot burst out anything.

My sister works hard on homework she then smells a certain smell soon enough, he mother calls her to dinner She walks down the stairs into the kitchen but on such a wonderful day something dead catches her eye it the dying flower but oh it's stem is bursting with life She thinks about the flower then soon forgets it as she pulls the chicken out of the oven

Language Arts Language Arts is the best class It just goes by way too fast We read and study hang out with our buddy and soon the class has past We study hard sometimes making flash cards reading stories and books always wanting the next look so much suspense to hold Almost everyday something new comes to bay sometimes we work together sometimes we work with out each other There's always something to say

The Greek Roots help us gain knowledge roots helping us in everyday life helping us strife Gaining wisdom loots This class is a never ending line the class is just so fine so much fun I don't know where it begun I am glad this class was part of the life that is mine
