 Language Arts
Language Arts is where you are stuck spelling, and writing, and checking your grammar. Language Arts is the place where you get to read some of the greatest stories that were written years ago. Language Arts takes you to new heights where you can soar among the clouds like an eagle. Language Arts starts with your ABC’s and ends with comprehension of British Literature. Ewww!!! In Language Arts, ABC’s and 123’s make up the bigger words in life. Language Arts helps us speak our mind when we need to the most. In Language Arts Greek roots are an important part in the big picture of language. Language Arts is a class you will need to succeed in this world of competition. Similes, metaphors, hyperboles, and imagery, what would we do without them? | Language Arts
Sometimes I feel like a star, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I walk straight up and proud, sometimes I won’t. Depend on day, I might even take charge. It really just depends on my mood. I’m not (the average) person walking down the street. And I ain’t a follower. But I learned to be me Because I am one of a kind. I’m not fake or a poser or a gossip girl. My worth is not determined by my appearance. No matter what people think of me, I will always be a rose in a field of weeds. | Me
Kids are scared to come here. They hear how scary you are, with grades, and classes, and more. To me you are not that scary but more about hard work. To kids I say, come. You are so diverse, it is not hard to make friends. I love your classes and opportunities. You will help me out in the long run. The teachers here make sure you get through the rough times. Great to be here! Smart is what you must be! Maybe you will e the president if you go here! Stay to your studies and you will go far! This school gives opportunities! | G.S.M.S.T.
In the mountains of Colorado, a trail of smoke flows from the chimney of a cabin like a peaceful river. There inside that cabin stands my mother, she is making my family Thanksgiving dinner and I cannot wait. I see my grandmother walk into the room standing with the posture of a Queen. On the pond outside, I see my cousin skating a perfect figure eight. Mashed Potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and more. My stomach growls when I see it all laid out on the wooden dining room table. My cousin pulls the silverware out of the antique drawer. Oh how I wish that light above him would be a little more stable. | My Mother's Kitchen
Wow, the dead turkey that sat on the countertop six hours ago is now in the oven smelling delicious. I love that smell of my grandma’s apple pie. Homemade crust and filling, and the apples are very nutritious. Everything I love is found in this kitchen, the oven, the rug, and the kitchen window where I can see the sky. Finally it’s done, I can hear the footsteps now. Coming from outside, down the stairs, and up the stairs, my family comes to eat. We say a prayer and bless our food, and eat and eat and eat our chow. I’m so happy that I got the dark and light meat. My mother’s kitchen has so many memories I want to hold onto throughout the years. The smells, the sounds, the sights, and the tastes bring a picture perfect image into my head. I absolutely love my mother’s kitchen and I can’t get the I will always be thankful and I will always remember the happy times the years have shed.
Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice. From what I've tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire. But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate To say that for destruction ice Is also great And would suffice. | Fire and Ice By: Robert Frost
