It is a dormitory building for the College of Architecture students. There are gallery spaces that are open to the public on the ground floor, sound insulated drafting rooms in the basement, luxurious individual student rooms with private bathrooms and balconies overlooking the arterial Spring Street, and a roof garden with a gazebo. The eastern wall is a shared party wall while the southern facade fronts on fifth street. The northern facade has a loading dock opening onto the quieter sixth street.
10: 04A | ROSWELL SPA | Basement Plan | Ground Floor Plan | First Floor Plan | Eastern Elevation | Southern Elevation | This project is a spa and wellness center located in Roswell, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. The site is a steep hill with a swift stream at the foot in a commercial area. The entry or ground level consists of a program with a cafe and lobby, male and female locker room with adjoining steam rooms, a co-ed dry sauna, a cold-water plunge pool, a small hot tub, a lap pool with moderate temperature water, an outdoor sunbathing court, and a pool storage area. The basement level contains the staff lounge and locker rooms, individual private therapy room opening off of a hallway with an aquarium wall looking into the lap pool, and a solarium space for meditation classes. The upper floor hides the business office, a doctor's office and exam room, a hair salon, an aerobics/dance/ yoga studio, and a workout/weight training area. The project, while enormous, is designed with sustainability in mind. To preserve water, rain water is collected to power dual flush toilets, and a living machine is featured in the solarium. To conserve electricity, there is a solar water heater on the green roof area, an eco-elavator, a geothermal HVAC system, separate hot and cool zones and solar louvers on the glass roof area that has operable sections for natural ventilation.

I lost about three weeks of time to the illness, and so this project is no where near as developed or complete as I would have liked.
