2: Edinburgh was warm, people friendly, the flowers quite exquisite for late September.

6: From the Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood and the Queen's Gallery across from the ultra modern Edinburgh City Hall... and that long walk to Leith !

8: Gracie's Cottage in Kishorn | Alistair and Carol Cocks Fisherman & Artist

9: Our village of Achintraid

12: From the Skye Bridge across the Isle of Skye for just one more beautiful scene after another !

13: One of the most dramatic scenes was the view of distant clouds and the ever changing sky line .... from stormy, gray, to rainbows, to smooth, almost un-earthly images!

14: Oh What a Windy Day !

16: Twas a long day from Achintraid to Applecross... Torredon and eventually to Inverewe Gardens

17: We ventured on our first outing to the Isle of Skye to visit the coastal village of Armadale and a woods walk to the shore hoping for a view of the sea otters... only to find the seals instead! | Our friend liked the lemon cake!

18: Back again to Skye and wonderful coastal views and skies. Stopped off at the Museum of Island Life

19: Dunvegan Castle & Gardens, home of the Chiefs of Clan MacLeod

20: Finally, one more time across the one track roads to see the remains of Strome Castle ...a visit to a woolen shop.
