FC: A | Clara Fay's Manitoulin Alphabet Book
1: This book is for Clara Fay, to remember the wonderful time she had on Manitoulin Island, in the summer of 2011. Much love from grandma Monique and grandpa Allan
3: A is for Allan, Aiden and All, Swinging a hammer and building a wall.
4: B is for Bench and Breakfast with friends, On Manitoulin, the fun never ends.
5: C is for Clara the Cleverest girl, And for taking the Canoe out for a whirl.
6: D is for Dock and Nina the Dog. She jumps in the water and chases a log.
7: E is for Elliot, your Mister E. brother. You know he's your brother 'Cause you have the same mother, Or, if you'd rather, You have the same father.
8: F's for the Fort we built in the Forest, Four walls and a floor and it's time for some more rest.
9: G is for Gaby and for doing things in a Group, Like reading a book and hiking a loop.
10: H is for the Hammock where we swung and we read, And sometimes we were tired and just rested our head.
11: I is for Ice Cream at the Farquhar's store. We all ate so much but we still wanted more!
12: J is for Jumping in the giant sawdust pile. First you bury yourself, then you Jump with a smile.
13: K is for the Kitchen where we came in a bunch, To eat breakfast and dinner and snacks our lunch.
14: L is for the Laser that sails on Otter Lake. It skims over the water and leaves a bright wake.
15: M is for Marching with Misha and Mom On the M'Chigeeng trail, now that was fun!
16: N is for Nina who loves Clara Fay. Nina lies in the sand when she's tired from play.
17: O is for Otter, the lake we love best For the beautiful sunsets we see to the west.
18: P is for your Personal Papa Who jumps in the water And plays with his daughter.
19: Q is for Questing to see fish under the dock, Or going to find snakes while getting a log.
20: R is for Reading with parents or friends, From a wonderful book that we hope never ends.
21: S is for the Snakes who twist and bend. Hold that one gently and he'll be your friend.
22: T's for the Tarp that's spread overhead To keep us cool when it's hot and dry when it's wet.
23: U is for Under, deep down Underwater. If you look long enough, you might see an otter.
24: v | Very Varied Vegetables sat out on a plate, Saying to each other, "My, don't we look great!"
25: W | W's for the Wonderful Web That was Woven in the night. I hope that the bugs that it catches Are only the ones that bite.
26: X is for the eXciting sight Of drawing pictures on the night With a sparkling stick of light.
27: Y is for Yellow in the clothes people wear, Or even the colour of your kid brother's hair.
28: Ze'ev is your uncle who carries you around, And also has Nina the child-loving hound. His name starts with Zed, the letter farthest from A, And that ends this book for Clara Fay.
