1: The Black Plague was the worst ever natural outbreak of mankind. Rat fleas carried this very contagious disease to other animals One very bad mistake caused 25 million people their lives. 1347AD a fishing boat had a very sick crew heading back to Sicily, it was the biggest mistake. Although the men of Sicily locked down the harbor it was too late, the people of Sicily have already came in contact with the sick fishermen.
2: The black rat is the world's most common scavenger that can carry many different diseases. Including The Black Plague!!
3: The rat flea was the species that carried the plague and transfered it to the other animals that gave it to the humans.
4: It didn't take long before the people of Sicily got the strange sickness. It didn't keep in one place it kept spreading. People started praying to God, they asked him to for give them for there sins.
5: Doctors showed up not long after the plague. They wore bird-like beaks stuffed with poses. And the also wore leather boots and gloves and a robe-like leathers suit covered in wax.
7: By 1349, the plague was in Europe, North Africa, East Russia, England and the Middle East. The plague spread rapidly, and there were approximately 25 million deaths. To discard the bodies they were burned.
8: Some places were untouched
9: There was four years of blood filled towns dirty dead bodies and piles of ashes. The survivors thrive and lived on. Soon after people started to build new empires. With 1/4 the population was dead it was hard to recover from a disaster. But it was done.
10: Symptoms of the Plague | Some of the plague symptoms are headache, fever of 101, boils on arms and neck, and vomiting.
11: Is the Plague still here today? | Yes, it is still around, but is very rare. The Plague is so rare that only 10 to 20 Americans will get it each year. There are groups that are helping slow the spread of the plague. The American Health Association is helping keep the plague from infecting people.

13: The Ring around the rosy rhyme refers to the Black Plague In the 1400's. Ring around the rosy refers to the rose red rash on the victims of the plague. People use to carry posies a sweet smelling herb because people thought the plague was transmitted through bad smells. Ashes Ashes refers to the cremation of the dead bodies!! And we all fall down refers to all the dead people.
14: He is 12 years old, and he likes to play Football and bike with his friends. I live with my mom and dad, my brother and my 4 cats(2 at my dads and 2 at my moms).
