BC: The end of the Great Depression started with Presidents "New Deal." This deal created so many new job opportunities; which was the main struggle at the time. Though this helped it did not provide nearly enough jobs. The moment that really ended this Depression was World War II. This war created new jobs and a lot of them.

FC: The Great Depression

1: The Great Depression started on Black Tuesday, October 29th 1929. That was the day the stock market crashed. There were 3 main causes of the Great Depression. First there was the Mcfadden Act of 1927. This Act limited how much a bank could grow which was a terrible situation for businesses. Second, there was loans. They may have helped pay off debts but they stressed the banks greatly. Lastly, there was panic. People worried about money and they kept taking their money out of banks which only made the situation worse.

5: The Great Depression lasted about 12 years overall. It started October 29th 1929 and ended in 1941. For America it felt like it lasted ages.

9: Life during the Great Depression was extremely tough. Most people were fired from their jobs, many people became homeless, and many people lost their families. The unemployment during the Depression was chart topping. Barely anyone had a job.If you did you were a very lucky fellow. People lined up outside employment offices and sat there day and night waiting for a job. Many people also moved to "shantytowns" or shacks to save money and their families.

14: All of America was affected by the Great Depression, but some more then others. For instance the African Americans only had a harder time because not only were they jobless but racism was a huge issue back then. They had separated African Americans from the white Americans in every way. They had their own theaters, restaurants, and bathrooms. It was a very tough time for the African Americans
