 Florida Road Trip | 8

Undefeated on the Pitch & Beach | The Arrows ended the 2010 season with a well earned road trip to Miami / Ft Lauderdale, Florida where they took on plenty of fun in between soccer matches. One team forfeited, rather than face the Arrows. The ladies faced Ava Maria University located deep in the Everglades before heading for cold Cleveland. | 9

 LEAH SWEET | 10

2 | Leah played her first soccer game on her 4th birthday. The boys on the Groveport rec teams feared her so she had to move on to club soccer with the BlastFC, Eagles SC, and Worthington United. In High School, Leah played on the boys' varsity team, and was a co-captain in her senior year. A 4 year starter at UC, Leah overcame a potentially career ending head injury as a freshman, and she will earn her Bachelor's degree in Psychology in December 2012. Leah plans on continuing her studies and earning her Master's in counseling. | 11

 Hillary Brown | Lexi Adamo | 12

10 | After watching her brother play, 5-year-old Lexi laced up her first set of cleats and never slowed down. Lexi played with the Mentor Impact until she moved onto play for her high school. Thinking her playing days were over when Lexi enrolled at the University of Akron, this transfer-walk-on started all four years at UC and was a team captain for the last three. With her nursing degree, Lexi will now work to heal injuries rather than inflict injuries on unsuspecting opponents . | 13

 Connie Herchek | 14

Northface jackets keeping us warm! | Connie started playing recreational soccer in 2nd grade. By 4th grade, Connie was on a traveling team and then on her high school varsity team all four years at Cleveland Heights High School. She started as a Freshman at UC and has been a dominate force in the Arrows backfield ever since. After earning her Bachelor's degree in political science, Connie plans on attending graduate school. | 12 | 15

BRITTANY FOX | Brittany fell in love with soccer after watching her cousin play, and joined the Barberton youth soccer league when she turned 8. Dedicated and loyal, she played on the same team until moving on to Barberton High School soccer. A two-year captain at UC, Brittany will take her leadership skills to the classroom as a teacher, and plans on earning her Master's of Education in Administration and becoming a principal. | 16

Jaimie Grindle | Jaimie's soccer career started out in Highland Youth Soccer and continued with GFS Premiere (German Family Soccer), and Ohio Select Futbol Club. Her high energy play lead her to UC, where as a four-year starter she scored more than 40 goals and earned the captain's armband. After earning her degree, she plans on going on for a Master's Degree in Sports Management. | Jaimie Grindle | 18

Spring Season | Scenes from UC Arrows spring game against Ashland University. | 20

The Arrows entered 2011 as a probationary NCAA Division II team. Spring time no longer meant conditioning, it meant real games against real teams. Established D2 schools thought that playing the former NAIA soccer team would be easy, but the during this inaugural season the Arrows stayed on target and let the NCAA know that they were here to play. | 21

NO PLACE LIKE HOME | Hathaway Brown Field Home pitch for the UC Arrows | 23

Laurel "Home Field" Advantage | Home field advantage took on a new meaning after heavy rains took its toll on the Ursuline pitch forcing the team to seek higher ground for many home games. Salvation was found a few miles down the road when the Laurel School, an independent college preparatory school for girls, opened their facilities to the Arrows. The Arrows did not loose any games at Laurel field in 2011. | 24

It's a bitter sweet day: The final home game of the season and senior day. The Arrows stepped up their game, playing hard for Coach Kubbins, who was sitting things out with a one game red card suspension. Ursuline played arch rival Notre Dame to a 1 all tie. This marked the first time the Falcons did not beat the Arrows. | 34

SIDELINE TO | Arrow victories are as much about what happens on the field as on the sidelines. Whether it's getting fixed up by head trainer Cathy Rook, encouraging teammates from the sideline, or just taking a moment to talk with the Voice of Arrows Sports,Chris Schieman during a post game radio interview, both sides of the white line matter in Arrow Soccer! | The Voice of the Arrows | 38

 FINALS | Notre Dame V Ursuline | 2 - 1 Loss in Double OT | 40

Jennifer Moss | In the Arrows short history, they never reached post season play. This year the Arrows were on target to go all the way, but conference rivals Notre Dame College still smarting from its' regular season tie, muscled its way to a double overtime win. | 41

OFF THE PITCH HALLOWEEN | In the early days of Arrow's' soccer, wins were few but the ladies' spirit never wavered. To keep things fun at the end of the season, the Arrows turned a Halloween night practice into a party, and the tradition continues today. Starting with a full costumed practice, followed by an official team get-together; complete with pumpkin decorating and candy corn. With so many costume ideas to choose from, the players sometimes break-out alternative costumes for the team's unofficial party held at an undisclosed location. | 42

The quickest red card this side of the Mississippi sent Coach Kubbins to the showers early in the first half, and first year Graduate Assistant Coach Jamie Green looked around and saw 24 girls looking back and say "What do we do next coach?" Pulling the Lady Arrows together in enemy territory, the Arrows defeated Cedarville 1-0. The following game, with Kubbins serving his one game suspension for the red card, Green lead the Arrows to a 1-1 tie: Ending her brief head coaching career undefeated! | Rookie Assistant Shines after Red Card sidelines Head Coach | 47

THE FUTURE | URSILINE COLLEGE SOCCER | GO ARROWS! | The Arrows ended 2011 leaving NAIA for NCAA Division ll with the school's best athletic team record. The Arrows enter 2012 as charter members of the newly created NCAA Division ll Great Middle American Conference. With five out of six post season award winners returning, and sidelined captain Alix Shanks recovered from an early season ending injury, the Arrows are posed to return to post season play and bring home the inaugural G-MAC Women's Soccer title. | 53
