1: Vassar Spore | Sixteen year old daughter of Leon and Althea Spore. Named after Vassar College, where she plans to attend school, and has her life planned out in detail for the next twenty years.

3: Vassar's grandmother on her father's side. She is wild, outgoing, 'crazy', free spirited,and loves a good adventure. She black mails Vassar's parents into letting Vassar travel with her for the summer. They travel all over Southeast Asia. | G E R T R U D E
4: When Vassar receives her birthday present from her grandmother, on time for once, it was a plane ticket to Singapore. A lot of not so normal stuff goes on, including getting picked up by a cute Malaysian cowboy and getting her ear nibbled. | "Life is either a great adventure or nothing." | First Stop: Singapore
5: HANKS! Hanks is a Malaysian cowboy that picks Vassar up from the airport in Singapore. He is the son of one of Gertrude's friends. He is an outgoing all around good guy, whom wears fancy cowboy boots.
6: Because Gertrude is into art, she buys/finds rice bags and turns them into skirts. Not only does she make a skirt for herself and wear it, she makes one for Vassar and makes her wear it too. | "Memories are a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, and the things you never want to lose" | Public Embarrassment In Another Country
7: Vassar goes exploring after Gertrude tells her she needs to LIM, or Live In The Moment. She ends up at a house museum, not knowing better. There she meets a creepy old Asian guy who has a thing for nibbling ears. | Live and LIM!
8: Next Stop: Cambodia | The second place Grandma Gerd, Vassar, and Hanks go is Cambodia. And Grandma misses the flight.
9: Grandma Gertrude steals a piece of art, which Vassar finds wrong. While trying to return it she ends up running from the cops. | "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."
10: It's Like Jeopardy, Only Different. | To find out why Gertrude blackmailed Vassar's parents, she is given letters throughout the trip to try and figure it out.
11: Last Flight Before Home: Laos
12: Trekking Grandma Gerd, Hanks, AndVassar go on a trek in Laos. They are in search of a certain kind of rare beadle for Gertrude's art project. The trip changes their lives. | "Life isn't a matter of milestones, but of moments"
13: To Forgive and Forget | Vassar lets out a bunch of cows and ends up ruining Hanks favorite fancy cowboy boots.
