S: Learning about Trees Ault, Tara
This is my youngest son. He was interested in what I was doing, and decided to come along on the nature journey of trees with me.
These are some of the first buds of the year on a "Red Ash Tree."
This is a picture to show you just how far up in the sky a "Red Ash Tree" can be.
Damage done to a very old tree. | This tree is so big, that its roots are above the ground.
Beautiful buds are beginning to open up.
This tree is going to have lots of leaves, by looking at all of the buds.
This is a pile of buds that have fallen from the tree, allowing it to prepare for the leaves to come out.
Most of the leaves on this tree, are in groups of 4, per bud stem. They begin with a little bit of a red tint, then the red fades away as the leaf grows through the spring and summer, and the leaf becomes a bright green color
This tree has some moss growing up its trunk.
If you look real close, you can see the Robin nest in this tree.
I hope that you have enjoyed looking at some of the nature I have captured, and possibly been inspired to do the same. I often feel as if we take for granted, the beautiful work of nature around us, and don't take in the fact that there is a true meaning for what all we have. Sincerely, Tara S. Ault
