Sherman the shark just wanted to play And maybe have a snack along the way. Chloe the girl just wanted to see The ocean rippling in the summer breeze. And it just so happened that when fate had its say. Shark found girl and pulled her away. Chloe kicked and screamed but try as she might She couldn’t escape Sherman’s shark bite. As limbs and fins splashed in the spray, Sherman wondered what to do with his prey. Share her at home like a good son? But then surely that wouldn’t be any fun!
& | So a game they would play. Chloe swore she’d obey. There were checkers and chess And riddles to guess. The shark and the girl played by the shore of the bay. No onlooker could have seen a stranger display. And Chloe beat Sherman all the time. But really he thought everything was fine. So by the time the sun’s ray Had started to grey Chloe was still there With the wind in her hair And by then her judgement started to stray. She thought that the shark was okay. She told herself there was nothing wrong With a girl and a shark getting along. So she told him all about her day. And Sherman knew it’d be rude not to repay So they talked until dawn When Chloe thought they’d grown fond.
And she’d thought it safe to relay, So casually as if at a cafe: “Are all the other sharks dumb like you?” Sherman paused from their game right on cue. And without a second’s delay Ate the girl before she could say “hey!” After all, Sherman had wanted a snack And the girl talked about nothing but whack. | And to his dismay She did nothing but bray So when he heard what she said He bit off her head
& | And to help prevent a dinner time fray, He ate the rest before she could decay. For while a shark might not be good at games You still do not make such bold claims. Sherman the shark just wanted to play And maybe have a snack along the way. Chloe the girl just wanted to see The ocean rippling in the summer breeze. Now as we watch where Chloe’s body was laid. At least we know nature’s rules are still being obeyed.
Silent Message | Shouting... She’s angry now. But listen carefully Because deep down she really cares | For you.
"Why'd you go through all that trouble to help? Why risk your life for me?" | Because I... Like you...
Color blinds your eyes Green to red, yellow to brown— Death soon approaches
