2: This is a garter snake, they mainly feed on mice and other small rodents.

3: Snakes are a cold blooded species, that means they can't generate their own heat.

4: Some snakes make good pets, such as ball pythons.

5: Snakes can be found in most parts of the world.

6: Reticulated Pythons are the longest snakes in the world, reaching up to 33 feet in length.

7: Cobras are known for their unique ability to scare away predators by raising their hood.

8: Snakes have two main ways of killing their prey, constriction and venom.

9: Snakes have starred in some horror and thriller movies, Directors get good money by scaring their audience with these magnificent predators.

10: Green anacondas are the heaviest snakes in the world and live mainly in South America.

12: Snakes do not chew their prey, they swallow them whole.

14: Some constrictors are capable of eating humans, but this is very rare.

17: Snakes are masters of camouflage and are capable of ambushing their prey quite effectively.

18: Cobras only attack when threatened and people's fear often drive them to kill these snakes.

20: Snakes are very amazing species, but their population is slowly decreasing. The next time you try to kill a snake, think, what has it ever done to deserve its death.
