1: My hypothesis is that the 8th grade plants will grow faster because we have artificial light, the 7th grade classroom has artificial and natural light and I think with both of them combined will mess up the plant growth

2: During this experiment the only variable that will change in the experiment is the type of light which is used to help the plant growth.

3: The variables that will stay the same in the experiment are the amount of water used, the place that we get the the water, the type of soil we use and the amount of soil we use. The type of flower we try to grow, the temperature of the same classroom and the depth of the plant in the soil. we will do all of this on the same day, and we will use the same type and amount of fertilizer.

4: To collect and record the data from this experiment I will take a picture of the plant every week to see how much it grows, and I will use a meter stick to measure the plant so I can tell how much it grows every week.

5: The data revealed a difference in plant growth. The plants grown in natural light were smaller but thicker, the plants grown in artificial light were bigger but they were very thin and fell over.

7: I took a photo of my plant on March 18,2011. It had not grown yet.

9: I took a photo on March 24, 2011. I gave it 30 ml of water and it grew 9cm tall.

11: I took a picture of my plant and watered it on March 24, 2011. I watered my plant 30ml and it had grown 9cm tall.

13: I took a picture of my plant and watered in on March 30, 2011. I gave it 30ml of water, and it had grown 33cm tall. I did not take anymore pictures after this one but at the end of the project my plant had grown 74cm tall.
