FC: The Nervous System
The Cerebrum | I Love My Brain | The Cerebrum is the very top part of the brain, it controls the part of the brain that determines intelligence, determines personality, thinks, perceives, produces and understands language, interprets sensory impulses, controls motor function, plans and organizes, and controls touch sensation.
The Cerebellum | In Latin, the word cerebellum means little brain. the Cerebellum controls motor movement coordination, balance, mental andemotional balance, and muscle tone.
The Spinal Cord | The spinal cord accepts the electrical information through sensory neurons, and sends it to the brain. Also it sends the signals from the motor area of the brain back to the various parts of the body. Another function of spinal cord is to coordinate various reflexes in our body . the spinal cord helps in connecting the various organs of human body to the brain. Lastly it controls the information and initiation of reflexes.
The Medulla Oblongata | The Medulla Oblongata is the lowest part of the brain, it controls the autonomic functions, relay of nerve signals between the brain and spinal cord, and coordination of body movements.
Neurons | Neurons are responsible for sending, receiving, and interpreting information from all parts of the body. they're responsible for communicating information in both chemical and electrical forms. There are also several different types of neurons responsible for different tasks.
