FC: Buddy's Great Adventure! | By Nick Lynch Pd. 2
Dedication | I dedicate this book to my Uncle's dog, Harlee, who currently lives in New York City.
Buddy was a friendly dog living with a nice family and home. He was very kind and friendly to everyone he met, including his masters, a father, mother, and little boy.
He was depressed, lately, because his family were leaving on trips a lot lately, leaving buddy with a mean caretaker.
One day, the little boy was playing ball with Buddy, when suddenly he left with him and his parents for a 10 day trip to the Bahamas.
He got really mad at his masters for leaving him so unexpectedly.
After 5 days, he made a plan to escape and go to the city.
When the caretaker let him out, he found a hole in the fence and went to the neighboring city.
When he got there, he was amazed. Big buildings, lights, and so much food!
He found a hot dog vendor, and with a little luck, got to mooch off him a hot dog.
Buddy had a really great day in the city, exploring and meeting other people and seeing things he never saw.
Around 5 o'clock, though, nobody wanted to play with him, no more vendors, no nothing. Buddy didn't no what was going on.
He really, really wanted to go home.
Buddy needed his sleep, or else tomorrow he wouldn't be able to get home.
He found an alley way, but there was a shadow in there, behind the dumpster.
A big dog named Rosco was there. Him and his henchman cornered Buddy.
They told him this was no place for a dog like him, and he should just go home right now.
Buddy was scared, so he slipped through a hole in the fence behind him and got away from Rosco.
Buddy really, really wanted to go home.
He managed to find an awning to sleep under for the night.
He woke up the next morning, really depressed.
He was trying to get home, but couldn't find his way out of the city.
Than an old women came and took him to her house.
The Women provided food and shelter, but didn't show him any affection.
Then he saw a cat, staring out the window.
His name was Simon, and he told him how to get out of the city.
Buddy was overjoyed and thanked Simon so much.
He climbed out an open window when the lady went to the store.
She was upset, but soon realized the cat she has is different than a dog. A dog is dependent and needs love.
 He started to run home...
...but then saw Rosco, looking very sad.
Rosco said his friends abandoned him.
Buddy showed him the Woman's house.
The old lady was so happy to have Rosco, and loved him so much.
 Buddy headed home.
He came back right before his masters came. | He never left home again.
