Factory farm animals are typically treated as units of production. They are subject to forced feeding of unnatural diets, tail docking, debeaking chickens, artificial growth hormones, electric stunning and inhumane slaughter techniques.

Some slaughterhouse operators are violating federal law by failing to properly knock out animals before they are put on assembly lines for processing. Even at plants using proper techniques about one in one thousand animals will revive and need more stunning. the government should shut down any food processing plant where animals are beaten or treated inhumanely in order to put an end to this animal cruelty.

-Farm animals are not protected by federal law and most states consider conventional agriculture practices (non-organic) exempt from it. -For example if you live in the U.S. and eat a typical diet you probably consumed about thirty two chickens last year that were debeaked with a hot blade on the sensative part of their beak, hanged upside down by their feet while still conscious, and most likely boiled alive. -They should shut down these plants that treat the animals inhumanely because there is no reason for them to hurt the animals, they didn't do anything to the people, and the workers are just making themselves look bad because after they do it the have bad meat and they lose money and people don't usually wanna buy from them.

I could not find any opposing viewpoints on how anyone is with keeping the slaughter techniques we have now. That just shows you that almost everyone hates how they slaughter these animals and they want it to stop. They even had a court case about it in one state talking about how the workers had to slaughter the animals and how animals have the same rights as humans. So join me in trying to stop this animal cruelty im not saying you need to become a vegetarian just try to pick meat that has the sticker humane processing on it.

Slaughterhouses commonly use an electric wand to knock out animals before being slaughtered but sometimes due to worn out equipment or improper training the stunning isn't always effective. They shock and kick calves too weak to stand or walk on their own. While still conscious some chickens will have their heads pulled off usually for no reason the workers just do it because they think it is fun. Turkeys and chickens are hanged upside-down and sent through an electrified water bath. it is not known whether it makes them unconscious. each year several hundred thousand chickens and turkeys reach the scalding tanks alive. So i am not saying you need to become a vegetarian, i am just saying think of what you eat before you eat it and help us shut down the ones that are treating animals inhumanely.
