7: *As a result of their long fur, hairballs and matted fur can possibly occur. *Also, if they have a hairball it may get stuck in their digestive track. This would then block the flow and builds up. Let’s just say the problem, if not solved, will not have a fairytale ending. *They have smooshed in noses and this can cause difficulties breathing. *Depending on their diet, many himalayan cats have organs that have randomly failed and Polycystic Kidney Disease. According to Web MD “Polycystic Kidney Disease can occur in animals as well as mammals.People with P.K.D. have multiple clusters of cysts form on the kidneys. The exact action that triggers cyst formation is unknown. In early stages of the disease, the cysts cause the kidney to swell, disrupting kidney function and leading to chronic high blood pressure and kidney infections. The cysts may cause the kidneys to increase production of erythropoietin, a hormone that stimulates production of red blood cells. This leads to too many red blood cells, rather than the anemia seen in chronic kidney disease.” | Possible Health Issues :(

8: Food! | Foods They Love To Eat: Canned cat food, especially the flavors of chicken and tuna ~Lunch meat ~Beef and Chicken ~Shrimp | Toxic Foods!!!!! Garlic and Onion because it contains N- propyl disulphide. This chemical destroys cats red blood cells and causes Heinz body anemia. Green Potatoes and Green Peppers. These cause Gastro- Intestinal problems and are alkaloids to cats which means very addictive and can also be hallucinogens. Chocolate! This food contains Theobromine which is a natural poisonous powder to any cat as well as dogs. It’s not really deadly but too much can affect the Immune System and they will most likely puke a lot! Grapes and Raisins may have an outcome of Acute Renal Failure. In simpler terms, kidney failure and bloodstream malfunctions. In the end your kitten may even have to use a catheter.

9: *Random Facts* | Interaction With Other Cats: *They learn to interact well with other cats and people based on their brother and sister cats, parents, and maybe even owners. *When they groom it is also mostly done between two cats helping each other out | Reproduction: *They reproduce sexually *Female cats experience heat around six months old. (Heat is also called the Estrous Cycle; however, it has nothing to do with the weather. It is reoccurring physiologic changes caused by reproductive hormones. The cat will moan and roll around looking for a partner. This will go on until death and lasts for about a week) *Male cats experience heat around eight months old. *Pregnancies last around 3 months *There can be about 2-9 kittens | Comfortable Climate: -Love sunlight and warm weather. Not too hot, and definitely not the cold.
