1 | The Search for the Dress

2 | On our way to look at bridesmaid's and wedding dresses! | 2

 Sunglasses! | 3

Stop One: Unique Boutique | 4

Dress Number One | Although I like backless dresses, this one is a definite no. I don't like all the beading, nor the knot detail at the bust. | 5

Dress Number Two | I don't like all the lace and beading on this dress either. I also really don't want to wear a strapless dress-that's what everyone else is wearing right now. | 6

Dress Number Three I'm glad that this dress has less lace and beads. However, I'm not too fond of the pencil skirt-type bottom, and I still don't want to wear a strapless dress. | 7

Dress Number Four | I have to admit, I really like this dress. But, I just can't get past the whole strapless thing. | 8

9 | Dress Number Five | I'm not very fond of this dress, either. I'm glad it doesn't have too much beading and such, but it also doesn't really have anything special to it.

Dress Number Six There are some wonderful aspects to this dress-the amount of beading, the laces in the back, and the ruching. But, even though I love the subtle sweetheart neckline, I'm just not willing to wear a strapless dress. | 10

 11 | 11 | Lunch at Sonic!!!

 Stop Two: David's Bridal | 12

Dress Number Seven | The back detail on this dress, I did like. But, I did not like the applique or the wrap style top. | 13

Dress Number Eight | There were some good things about this dress, such as the details around the bust and it's overall simplicity. But, it was too simple . . . and too strapless. | 14

Melinda and Lindsey tried on these bridesmaid's dresses. Rebecca just tried on a dress for fun. :) | 15

Dress Number Nine I didn't like the massive amount of ruching on the bust, nor the flowery details around the waist, nor the fact that it was strapless. But the slight sweetheart neckline was nice. | 16

Melinda loved the cut of the previous dress she tried on, but liked the brighter green color of this one. The question was: did the other dress come in this color? | 17

Dress Number Ten I really liked the neckline and the "V" under the bust, and I even liked the train on this dress. But I just don't do lace. | 18

Unfortunately, the halter top dress didn't come in the brighter green. So, Melinda had a choice to make: did she prefer the cut of the first, or the color of the second more? Or would she rather look elsewhere for a different dress? Her decision . . . the strapless dress wins!!! And she looks super hot in it, too. :) PS. That's a little sneak peek at dress eleven there. ;) | 19

Dress Number Eleven | I really like the halter top and the waist accentuation. But, I really don't like the abundant ruching in all different directions. | 20

Dress Number Twelve Okay, there is no way I would have seriously considered this dress . . . but it was so much fun to wear. ;) | 21

Dress Number Thirteen | The neckline on this one was alright, but I didn't really like the boning that appeared to go all the way down, nor the ruching on the bust. I really didn't like the lacy back. | 22

Dress Number Fourteen This dress either looked like a nightgown, or it made me look pregnant, I'm not sure which. Regardless, I didn't like it. At all. | 23

24 | Dress Number Fifteen So, satiny fabric, plus a drop waist, plus awful pleating, somehow makes me feel like Michael Jackson . . . Obviously a no.

Dress Number Sixteen Due to a dislike of the knot in the front, and a strong dislike for the awkward clinginess in the back, this dress is a no. | 25

Dress Number Seventeen The neckline is alright, and I really love the back tie, but I don't like the pearls under the bust and on the shoulder straps. | 26

Lindsey found a dress she really liked. She wanted to bring Thor in to see what he thought about it, but we were sure he would approve. PS. The color in the left picture is truer to real life. | 27

 That's Becca!!! :) | 28

29 | On the way back home.

There was one place I still wanted to go, but we didn't have time. | 30

 And Becca's still Becca. :) | 31

Stop Three: Ballew Bridal | 32

Later that night, we convinced Momma to take us to one last place: Ballew Bridal in Collierville. There, I tried on a lot of dresses. The lady helping us kept pushing extremely frilly, lace covered dresses. Each time I would put one of those dresses on, she would say something like: "Now, that's a wedding dress!" | Nevertheless, it was at Ballew that I found the dress. We lost the pictures of all the other dresses I tried on. We had forgotten the camera and resorted to taking pictures on my new iPhone. My phone malfunctioned, and, hence, the pictures were lost. However, Melinda had two pictures of the dress on her camera. These are those pictures. | 33

 The Ring | 34

Due to financial difficulties, Andrew was not able to give Jaime a ring when he proposed in July. Several months later, on January 10th, as the pair were waiting on the bus to arrive to take Jaime back to Wheaton, Andrew used the stretchy string from a gag gift he had won at his work Christmas party to make me a temporary engagement ring. Jaime wore it proudly until the real ring came. | 35

On January 14th, Andrew finally acquired enough money to buy the engagement and wedding rings. After selecting the perfect one, he sent Jaime the photo on the right. Both of the rings needed resizing, so it would be awhile before he could give them to me, but the picture itself was precious. With Debbie's aid, Jaime took the picture, cut out the engagement ring, and formed a ring from the picture and an abundance of tape. She wore this new ring alongside the string Andrew had given her for nearly a month. | 36

37 | On February 4th, Andrew got the rings back from being resized and sent Jaime the bottom two pictures. Again with Debbie's aid, she replaced the previous tape ring with this new one on February 5th.

On March 6th, the first day Jaime was home for spring break, Andrew was finally able to give her the engagement ring. It was, and is, so much more beautiful in person than it was in the pictures. Jaime kept the other rings-the one made of gold string and the two made from pictures and tape. She still has them, to this day. | 38

The Search for the Tux | 39

 Stop One: Men's Warehouse | 40

41 | Looking at swatches at Men's Warehouse. We didn't like anything that we saw, and they were overpriced.

 Stop Two: Guy's Tuxedo | 42

Although they had a knowledgeable staff, the tuxedos looked cheap. | We did not pick this place. | 43

Stop Three: American Tuxedo | 44

American Tuxedo was the third stop. I had previously rented two tuxedos from here, making this a familiar, and trusted choice. Their tuxedos had two grades; one cheap and itchy, the other soft on the skin, but hard on the wallet. This is the place where we got the tuxes. Later, Jaime and I returned and ordered the hard on the wallet package for my groomsmen and I. We were happy with my choice. :-) | 45
