FC: Pride and Prejudice | - Jane Austen | ___ | W

oxford bookworm classic | PRIDE | & | PREJUDICE | Jane Austen | It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.

Jane Austen (1775~1817) | The title of the novel is "Pride and Prejudice" , written by Jane Austen in 1813 .

Elizabeth Bennet She is the second of the Bennet daughters, twenty years old, lively, intelligent and charming girl. | However, I like her least because she judges a person on first impressions. | She represents prejudice.

Mr. Darcy Mr. Darcy is the main male character, twenty-eight years old and unmarried wealthy bachelor. He is my favorite character and my ideal man. Just as he is. :) | He represents pride.

The background of novel is England. When a wealthy and handsome bachelor, Mr. Bingley and his best friend,Mr.Darcy arrive in neighborhood of the Bennet, lives of five daughters are changing. The eldest daughter, Jane, falls in love with Mr. Bingley but she tries to hide her feeling.

"I Love You Not Only For What You Are But Who I Am When I Am With You." | Otherwise, Elizabeth holds a prejudice against Mr. Darcy. He also thinks she is rude at first. However, he fell in love with lively and witty Elizabeth at the end. | In spite of a difference of social standing, Mr. Darcy proposes Elizabeth but she declines his proposal because of his first impression. (HOW DARE YOU!) However, through many events, she realizes how foolish she is. In the end, she accepts his proposal. This novel well reflects the realities of Georgian society.

I am not good at writing stories and this novel has such a happy ending. So I really don't want to spoil the story. However, I have to answer every question... Like every classical novel, this story is quite pablum so I want to make it more stimulating.

-Alternative Ending- Frivolous Lydia comes and visits Elizabeth's house. She goes broke and has nowhere to live. Generous Elizabeth allows Lydia to live with her family. Ungrateful Lydia tries to attract Mr. Darcy......
