 The Honeymoon | 1

After the wedding, we drove to Jaime's parents' to drop off some stuff, and pick up our luggage. Then Craig took us to a hotel by the airport. Upon checking in and entering our room, Andrew immediately noticed trash on the floor. Also, the bed had not been made, let alone the sheets been changed. We headed back to the front desk, where they gave us a new room and a coupon for a discounted breakfast. The next morning, after breakfast (the coupon didn't even cover one of us, by the way), we took the shuttle to the airport and began our trip to Key West. The first leg of the flight took us to Miami. | 2

Our layover wasn't terribly long, but weather prolonged it some. While we were waiting, we saw this wall of fish. | Andrew took a picture of the urinals, because Jaime wanted to see what they looked like. | 3

The second leg of our flight, from Miami to Key West, was on a prop plane--something we hadn't been expecting. It was just fine at first... Mid-way through the flight, we hit a pretty nasty storm. We were looking out the window and could see lightning very close by. We also hit a lot of turbulence at that time. Most people on the plane were extremely nervous, including Andrew. We did arrive in Key West safely, and took a taxi van to our hotel. During check-in, we mentioned we were on our honeymoon, and they offered us an upgraded room, but said it would be a day before they could move us. The room we stayed in the first night had two double beds. We snuggled on one for the night, excited about the days to come. | 4

 5

Side Notes: Key West is about 4 miles long and 2 miles wide. We booked our stay at a hotel on the water. Because of those facts, we figured we wouldn't need to rent a car; we would spend most of our time on the beach, and we would walk anywhere else. We didn't realize that though our hotel was on the water, it wasn't on a beach. The beaches were across the island! Also, the plan had been for Elizabeth to take photos of our wedding, and return our camera to us before we left. Neither of these happened, so the only photos came from our phones or our underwater disposable camera. | 6

The next morning, June 13th, we took our time getting ready before heading out to the beach. We had thought this would be a short walk, but soon found out otherwise (see the map on pg. 6). | What was originally intended as a short walk and a day at the beach, became a long walk across the island. We also discovered that there was a place with more oppressive humidity than Memphis. So, when we got to the beach, we proceeded to call a taxi to take us back to our hotel, and sat outside of a nearby hotel while we waited for it. We spent the rest of the day in our own hotel, except dinner. | 7

8 | Here's a couple of pictures from that day. We saw the horseshoe crabs and anemone off the highway along our walk.

Of course, there is the obligatory hotel view picture... Later that first day, we decided to take a taxi to | Andrew asked for sweet tea, but, not being in the South, they did not have it. Andrew settled for some other lesser beverage. | famous Duval Street, to see some of the sights, get some dinner, and walk back home. We ate dinner at | La Trattoria (orange "X" on the map, pg. 6). The waiter that night was probably the best waiter we have ever had. | A few minutes later, the waiter came out with a pitcher of sweet iced tea he had brewed just for us. | He was a little rusty at pouring with a pitcher, as they didn't use them, but we have never forgotten his service. | 9

On June 14th, we took a cab to the marina (see the yellow "X" on the pg. 6 map), with no particular plans. | When we got there, we saw parasailing, and thought it would be fun. So, that's what we did! | 10

 11

 12

 13

On the following day, we took a cab to the beach (see the map, pg. 6). We spent the day there, and even saw a baby crab! | We walked backed to our hotel later that afternoon, stopping at Benihana for dinner (see the purple "X" on pg. 6's map). | 14

15 | Unfortuantely, many of our photos did not come out very well...

A lot of the pictures were | 16

 pretty great, nevertheless. | 17

On June 16th, we spent the morning in our hotel. Then, we got ready for a night on Fleming St. | 18

First, we had dinner at Cafe Marquesa (we both had the Grilled Filet); see the blue "X" on pg. 6. | Then, we walked a few blocks down Fleming to see the sunset ontop of La Concha, the tallest building in old town Key West. It was very crowded. | 19

Finally, we went on a walking ghost tour around old town. It was fun, but it was very dark, and hard to take pictures. After that we walked back to our hotel. | 20

On June 17th, we went on a 9:00am trip with Snuba of Key West. We met at Garrison Bight Marina (see the pink "X" this time), and set off an adventure! | 21

After a fairly lengthy | boat ride, and a safety instructional talk, we were able to begin | our dive! Unfortunately, a lot of | the pictures didn't turn out well, again... | 22

Again, fortunately, some of the photos were pretty good, | though they can't show what it was like in person. | 23

We had a great time snuba diving! And we saw an old bike on the | way back to the hotel, where we spent the rest of the day. | 24

June 18th was largely spent in our hotel room. We did go to Tavern N Town (see the orange "X" on the map on pg. 6) for dinner, where they gave us a special dessert. This was our last day in Key West, as our return flight left early the next morning. It should be noted that the time line of this honeymoon may not be 100% perfect. But it's close. | 25

 The Baby Bird | 26

On June 20th, right after getting back home from their honeymoon, we found this baby bird in Jaime's parents' front yard. The pair tried to feed and care for the small bird. | While they were unsuccessful in caring for the bird, this bird became only the first in a long line of rescued pets. | 27

 The Trip To Grandma's | 28

Historically, Andrew would go to his Grandma's for lunch every Sunday. | Here are a few pictures from Sunday, June 27th. | 29

The Fourth (and Fifth) of July | 30

As per tradition, we spent July 4th at Craig's yearly cookout. The only image we have from that day is this one of matthew. | 31

On july 5th, We used the wedding sparklers with Jaime's family. Andrew was very tired (though we don't remember why). | 32

 33

 34

 Pyromaniac. | 35

 The Fallen Fan | 36

On the night of July 14th, | we awoke to a loud crash! | Taylor's ceiling fan had fallen! | No person nor animal was injured in the incident | 37

 The Picnic | 38

On July 18th, we went on a picnic at Cancer | Survivor's Park. Jaime prepared us lunch and some drinks, and we | Andrew's college blanket to sit on for the meal. | 39

After lunch, we packed everything up, and went to visit with the ducks and geese that live at the pond. | 40

 41

Not only did we get to feed the ducks and the geese, but we were also able to hand feed the turtles! | 42

 43

Geese | There were many types of waterfowl at the pond. | Mallards | Pekin Duck | Muscovy | Wood Ducks | Blue Swedish | And Lots of Babies | 44

The Wood Ducks and | the babies were our favorites! | 45

We fed all of our duck babies with joy! | 46

 47

We loved going to this park so much! | 48

 49

The Catching of Kermit | 50

On July 22nd, at Howard McVay Park in Germantown, | we caught our first turtle pet--a red eared slider named Kermit. | 51

 The Fishing Hole | 52

On July 23rd, we went fishing with Matt to a little spot off of | Covington Pike shown to us by Justin Griffin. Andrew caught | a fish, but the conditions there made the fish inedible. | 53

 The Curious Kitten | 54

We made a home for Kermit in Jaime's old fish tank. But Jaime's parents' cat, Patience, was a little too interested in him. Eventually, Kermit started getting bigger, and we were soon to be moving, so we let Kermit go back at Cancer Survivor's Park. | 55

The Return to the Fishing Hole | 56

On July 30th, we returned to the Covington Pike fishing spot with Matt and Eric. A | few decent sized fish | were caught... | 57

But the best catch of the day was Pancake, our second turtle pet, an Eastern Spiny Softshell Turtle. | 58

 59

 The Swans | 60

On August 6, Andrew went for a job interview. The security job Andrew was working refused to be flexible with Andrew's college schedule, despite previously promising to be. Jaime waited in the car during the interview, and they watched the swans for a little while after. | 61

 The Apartment Video | 62

63 | On August 30th, after settling in, Andrew & Jaime made a video to show friends their first apartment, and their pets: Euro, & their 3rd & 4th turtles, Shelly & Flapjack.

The Squirrel Named Grey | 64

On September 24th, Andrew left his Criminal Justice class to meet Jaime after her Chemistry class, as usual. On the way, he squirrel barking and went to investigate. He found a big, fat squirrel beating up on a little baby. He took off his t-shirt, threw it on top of the baby squirrel, so he wouldn't bite him, and picked him up and brought him to Jaime, saving him from the bigger squirrel. Andrew & Jaime found a temporary plastic fish tank to keep him in until they could get something better, and named him Grey. They soon bought him a type of birdcage and bedding so that he would be more comfortable. | 65

Grey loved to be held by Andrew & Jaime, | screaming whenever he couldn't see them. | 66

Unfortunately, the attach seemed to have injured Grey in a way that was at first unnoticeable. About 1 week after they found him, Andrew was at home alone and saw that Grey was no longer moving and breathing very heavily. Grey passed away before Jaime could get home from class. He was the best pet squirrel they had ever had. | 67

The Trip to Elmwood Cemetery | 68

On October 9th, Andrew & Jaime went on a date to Elmwood Cemetery. It was Andrew's first time. | 69
