S: The Princess FINALLY found her Prince Charming
BC: I love you, Jason
FC: A Year with You
 with love, Anna Rose
The first time I met you, I thought you were handsome. The second time I met you, I thought you were interesting. The third time I met you, I started to date you. Our story began on... September 30, 2010
"Love" is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning.
Conquering a Fear On October 9, 2010, I learned that there is a lot of truth behind the saying, "With love, all things are possible." For almost 25 years, no one could convince me to get on a plane. Then I started dating you. Through your support, I was able to face my fear, and fly to Detroit with you to spend the day with your cousin, Eric. Overcoming this fear has created the opportunity for me to have many adventures. Without your encouragement, the things I have seen and done in the past year with you would not have been possible. So I say, "Thank you, Jason!"
"All hockey players are bilingual. They know English and profanity." | I have always enjoyed hockey games, but having you by my side makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. This season we fell in love with players like Schrocky, Sputnik (if only for his funny nickname), and Dupuis (okay, that may have only been me). They weren't the best team this year, but like they say, "There's always next year," and we'll be there, in section 216, row 5, seats 8 & 9.
 K O M E T | H O C K E Y
Why do I love thee? Let me count the reasons why...
Reason #124 I love that you hold onto all the little notes that I write to you. | Reason #237 I love that after I say, "Hi Baby!" on Skype, you laugh at my excitement. | Reason #79 I love that the first thing you do when you see me is kiss me and ask me how I'm doing. | Reason #1 I love that you treat me the way a man should treat a woman. | Reason #108 I love that you enjoy watching musicals and reading romance novels. | Reason #18 I love your happy, playful spirit. You're such a joy to be around! | Reason #152 I love that you always say, "We'll figure something out," and we always do. | Reason #3 I love the way I feel inside when I see you, talk to you, or simply just think about you.
"But now I don't care, I could go anywhere with you, and I'd probably be happy..." | Fort Lauderdale, Florida November 4-7, 2010 Ahh. Florida. :) Exams for your Chief Mate's license required you to spend time in Florida, which obviously meant that I needed to spend some time in Florida, too! I requested a substitute, and I flew solo from Fort Wayne to spend the weekend with you. We spent our time enjoying the ocean, hanging with Rory and Jen, and taking advantage of our very short, yet amazing time together. My favorite memory? Easy. All of our meals. The food in FL was all SO good!! Don't think for a second that I am joking! ;)
Sounds of Saturn | Your brother, James, plays a mean guitar for his band, Sounds of Saturn. I love that they are three best friends, just doing what they love to do. Thankfully for us, they are good at what they love to do! :) What do I love the most? Seeing you so proud of your little brother and his accomplishments. Too cute!
 1. Jason 2. See number 1. (okay, and maybe an IPAD and Glee, but that's it, I swear!) | We made so many incredible memories during the 2010 holiday season! We cut down a tree way too big for your house, we enjoyed some very fun outdoor activities, we spent time with our families, we played a couple friendly games of bowling, we made lots of fires and tea, and we ate a lot, a lot of food! I love these memories, but my very favorite from the season was seeing how excited you were on Christmas morning. You were stinkin' adorable! | 2010 Holiday Season
New Year's Eve at Mad Anthony's | The last few hours of 2010 were spent partying with friends. I had 4 wine coolers (whoa), and you had lots and lots of beer! I loved how the booze encouraged you to show off your amazing dance skills. Seriously. I had an absolute blast! :)
Before we even started dating, you were completely honest with me and explained your work schedule. Four months on the ship, four months at home. Hopefully you weren't trying to scare me away with that conversation (you know, since I "stalked" you via Facebook), because obviously, I stuck around ;). I had no idea how hard it would be to say goodbye for 4 months, but I found out on January 25, 2011. Leaving you at the airport, knowing we wouldn't be together again for 120 days, was heartbreaking. I cried until there were no more tears to cry, and then I thought to myself, "Wow. How lucky am I that I have someone like Jason in my life." And you know what? Every single time I feel sad while you are away, I take a moment to thank God that I have you to miss. Want to know what I still remember? My phone going off on my birthday while I was at Josh and Kristi's, and it was you. I remember gasping and then smiling, uncontrollably. It was the first time I had heard your voice since you left for the ship. Babe, you really have no idea what you do to me... :) | "Absence diminishes small loves and increases great ones, as the wind blows out the candle, and blows up the bonfire..."
We were not able to spend Valentine's Day together in 2011 because we were in different countries. However, you were a very sweet (and smart) boyfriend and had flowers delivered to my home. They were the most beautiful flowers! I was hoping they would last for a very long time, but Punkin started to eat them. ha.
Anna ;'Fluffy Cheesecake 1 tub of cool whip 1/3 cup sugar 8 oz cream cheese 1 graham cracker crust Mix first three ingredients in a bowl. Makre sure there are no cream cheese chunks. Some people are not a fan. Pour mixture onto graham cracker crust. Place in fridge for at least 2 hours. n/a 10 min Depends :) | For the longest time I was convinced that cooking was simply not for me, and that I had better find a husband who could cook so that my future children and I would not starve. Then I started dating you. All of a sudden, I had this very unfamiliar urge to get into the kitchen and experiment with recipes. So my mom and I started cooking every Tuesday night so that I could learn, basically, how to cook. Everything has been pretty decent, unless you count the time when I made clumpy cheesecake, or the time I put too much dill weed in a recipe. However, everything else has not been too bad. I'm not the best, but I'm going to keep practicing so that I can take care of my man when he is home! :)
 Adventures in Cooking
"You look like a movie star, and I like just who you are. And honey to say the least, you're a doggone...BEAST!" | About a month before you were supposed to come home from your trip, you received a promotion to Chief Mate on a different ship. I was so proud of you, and lucky for us that meant that you would need to spend a couple days near New York. I remember you calling me and asking me if I would be interested in spending the weekend with you in NYC. Uhh, yeah! So that Friday (the 13th, nonetheless) I flew to Newark, NJ to see you for the first time since January. Ahhh!! :) The next day we spent our time exploring NYC, including Central Park and Broadway. We went to see my favorite, Mamma Mia! I loved every minute of it! Love, it was so wonderful to be back with you. There was absolutely nowhere else I would have rather been. Want to know my favorite memory? Hearing you say, "I love you," for the first time. That was very good news to hear, because I'm in love with you, as well. :)
But I do know one thing, is where you are is where I belong... I do know where you go, is where I want to be...
S A I P A N | Top 10 Reasons Why My Trip to Saipan was AWESOME 10. I was introduced to the wonderful flavor of "Japanese Dressing". Yum! 9. I was able to see a different part of the world...something I never dreamed I would do. 8. I got to sleep in while you had to get up for work. That was...awesome! 7. I proved to myself that I am a big girl and can fly out of the country without freaking out. ;) 6. We had some pretty amazing meals while I was there, especially at Wild Bills! 5. Happy hour. Need I say more? 4. I was able to become a certified diver, and I also got to see Nemo. 3. I had the chance to meet and become friends with people from the ship and the locals. Love them all! :) 2. I got to see what your job is like on the ship, and where you call "home" when you are away at work. Glad to know you are happy and safe! AND 1. I got to spend 3 weeks with you, my Prince Charming, who I absolutely adore! :) I will never forget this trip.
Here's to Many ,Many More Years of Love. . . | Jason and Anna | Reason #4 I love that I fall in love with you more every single day. | Reason #25 I love that you have a plan for your life, and know exactly what you want. | Reason #2 I love the person I've become since you entered my life. Stronger, healthier, happier, etc. | If it's before 9.30.11 and you're reading this, I caved in and gave you your present early (extremely likely). If it's 9.30.11 and you're reading this, then Happy 1 Year Anniversary, my love! :) If it's past 9.30.11 and you're reading this, then maybe you are missing me and want to remember the good times we had during our first year together. Whatever the case may be, know that I love you, and I'm so excited to see what years 2, 3, etc. bring.
