S: A Bad Decision
BC: So scared to dream in a world with no sunlight. When you wake up, you know it’s darker than last night. Quickly we forget, sacrifice gone by. Born to walk away, been walking my whole life.

I had invited a few friends over to my house. We were hanging around, having fun. | 72
Then, Roger decided that we should go for a walk through the woods behind my house. | 72 | 72
It was really fun. We were pretty deep in the woods when we came to the bridge going over a pond. | 72 | 72
Christian said he was going to dive in. I thought he was joking, but he wasn't. He really did it! | 72 | 72
I was really worried. I knew we shouldn't swim in the pond. It was dangerous. There were snakes in there, but Roger said not to worry. He'd be fine. | 72 | 72 | 72
Roger was wrong! Christian yelled out that he was in pain. | He said he felt like he'd been bitten by something, and came to the shore of the pond. I rushed over to him. | 72
I asked him what was wrong. | He said that he couldn't move his hand, and his skin burned really badly. I knew it was a snake bite by the way the wound looked. | 72
I told him to lie still because moving a lot can make the venom move faster. He did. Roger jumped over to him and said he knew what to do. He began to suck on the wound. | THIS WAS WRONG. | Roger could further aggravate the wound, and get poison into his bloodstream. | 72
Roger apologized, and (since he wanted to help) asked if he should run back to the house and get ice. | I told him not to, because ice could just make it worse. | 72 | 72
Roger, being stronger than me, picked Christian up and carried him back to my house while I called 911. | We HAD to get him to a hospital as soon as possible.
We laid him down on my couch. I told him to keep the bite below his heart to reduce the blood flow and to keep breathing. Finally, the ambulance came and took him to the hospital. | 72
It was a good thing they got here o quickly. If they hadn't, Christian could have died. They treated him with anti-venin, and he was alright. They said he would recover shortly. | 72 | 72
I can't say the same for Roger though. He complained of being sick before he went home. It turns out he had a sore in his mouth, and the venom from when he tried to suck it out got in his bloodstream.
 He died the next day. | ---72 | 72
