FC: A Fly With a Master Plan By Ben Behrens
One day, I saw a fly rubbing its hands together. When I saw this, I knew that it had a plan that it was going to put into action.
"Finally!", the fly said. "When, all of us gather at our meeting spot, we will steal food from all of the houses in the world."
The worst part about it was that they were going to invade my house first! Neither me, my mom, nor my dad, had any idea about the flies' plan.
There was only one bad thing about the flies' plan. If we drove them away, they had no "Plan B." But, the flies didn't care about that. They just wanted food for their Thanksgiving feast.
"When we see people leave a house, we will steal a piece of food just the right size for a fly family's Thanksgiving meal," said the fly.
The lead fly sent all of the fly groups in different directions after he gave the commands.
The flies traveled in groups of ten. All of the groups of flies went to different houses in different neighborhoods.
Next morning, when ten flies saw a family leave a house, they went into the house through a crack in the wall.
When the flies got in the house, they realized that the people who owned the house had a parrot that was always out of its cage. It was a really ANGRY parrot!
One fly distracted the parrot with blocks, while the others searched for food.
The other flies continued their search and finally found something...
Between a cushion crack in the family couch, they saw a potato chip big enough to feed two fly families.
The flies carried the potato chip back to the meeting center. "Yes," said the lead fly. "You flies have done perfect work. Just about 1,000,000 more of those and we'll have enough food to feed all the fly families for their Thanksgiving feast."
All the other groups of flies had similar experiences while on their search. Most of them got lucky.
One very unlucky group of flies went into a tarantula hole by mistake. Luckily, the tarantula got eaten by a tarantula wasp. | Unluckily, a fly in one group got swatted by a housekeeper.
One group of flies found a cracker on the floor big enough to feed five fly families.
Another group of sneaky flies stole a muffin from a child.
Some people, however, even gave the flies food! In fact, the people gave the flies enough food to feed almost 3/4 of all of the fly families in the world.
A group of flies even got into somebody's picnic cooler on their vacation and stole ham. Eventually, the groups of flies gathered enough food to feed all of the fly families.
All of the fly families had a wonderful Thanksgiving feast!
The next time you see a fly rubbing its hands together, wonder what plan it has.
