Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." | Matthew | 28:18-20
God didn't make us sisters, but that's okay because he made us... | Best Friends
Dear Haley, | I hope this book means as much to you as I am intending. Whenever you feel homesick or need some encouragement, just open this book and think of all the people back home that love you and who are praying for you. You have so many people in your life that love you! And I’m pretty sure I’m high up on that list ;] God has blessed me so much by putting you in my life. I know we have had some struggles this year, but all things have a season and a reason and we made it through. I know it helped us both grow and become stronger individuals. We have had so many great times. And many are documented by pictures. Going through all our pictures it was so hard to pick just a few, but I managed. These are some of my favorite =] Your friendship has meant so much to me over these past 6+ years. It is going to be so hard not having you around for almost a year! I cannot begin to imagine how much I am going to miss you while you are gone. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be like this summer but 100x worse!! I’m sad you will be leaving for so long, but I am so happy that you are following God’s calling. I know the choice was a difficult one, but I’m sure you made the right decision. You will grow and learn so much while on your journey across the pond. God has given you a great gift, you have a passion and hunger for knowledge and to learn everything you can about our Creator. You are so talented at taking His word, learning it and knowing it in such a way to teach others. I pray that you will have many opportunities to have or help lead bible studies while on your trip. I also pray that not only will you show others God’s love and help change their, that you in fact will change and grow beyond what you can imagine. I love you and miss you, Jen
Friends Make Every Day A Party | "The friends we meet on the path of life make the trip worth while."
Precious Girl! My Haley, How do I tell you how much you mean to me and how hard it is to let you go. I am so conflicted with my feelings because more than anything I want you to be where God wants you, but it isn't easy saying goodbye for right now. You will never be far though because you are part of my heart ... a very huge part of it. I love you and I'm so proud of you, Haley! I want this next year to be a year where God is your greatest desire. Because of that, you will grow in your ability to love and serve. The prayer He keeps putting on my heart for you is that His love will be shed abroad in your heart and that it will be spilling over in all your relationships! You will love well because He will show you how! He will show you his plans as he lights your path a step at a time as you follow Him. Be bold this next year in all your experiences, sweetheart. Savor the differences, enjoy the quiet, dive in to new relationships, trust God, and know that you are always loved! When you feel lonesome, know that you are not alone...ever. Our love is with you, and so is His. I was reading in Romans and came across these verses .... Romans 10:13-15 -- Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? This is what the Scriptures mean when they say, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" You have beautiful feet, Haley! I thank God that He chose to send you. I love you with all my heart and I'm praying for you! You'll be home soon and I will be glad, Love, Mom
Daddy's Little Girl | Dear Haley, How can I put down in this short letter how much you mean to me and how much I love you. It is impossible! But I do have a few words that hopefully will encourage you. You are a fantastic daughter and I am very proud of you. You are so very special. I love being your Dad so much and yes, I am going to miss you like crazy. The Lord has blessed me tremendously by having you as a daughter. You are doing so great! Keep your focus and continue to honor your heavenly Father. Know that I am praying for you and thinking about you. I know you will do very well in Ireland but there will be some rough times. I wish I could be able to give you a hug when you need it but I won’t be able to. You will be OK! God is with you and he will take care of you. Remember this verse, Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” I love you! Dad.
Haley, I love you so much! Thanks for being one of the best sisters a girl could ever have. You have always been there for me. I hope that when you are in Ireland that you will do everything God wanted you there for. I will miss you so much, but I am so excited for you too. You are one of my favorite people in the whole wide world. You made me want to be more Christ like. You are one of the best Christians I know. You have full faith in God. You are very wonderful to me. Love, Melissa | Dear sissy, I'm going to miss you so much! But I am so proud of you for answering God's call, even though I know it wasn't easy. I know that actually being there in Ireland is going to be hard for you too, but I want you to know that I'm praying for you EVERYDAY and also that God has sent you to Ireland for a reason, a purpose! He has a plan for you that is even bigger and better than you (or I) can grasp. He is with you ALWAYS while your there... However, I'm here for you too! Always. I love you! And again, I'm so proud of you for going to Ireland and serving our God. I know you'll do a great job for whatever is in store for you there and even beyond that. Love forever and a day, Hannah
My dearest Haley, Well I calculated that you will be 3,937 miles away from me for a year. I have mixed feelings about that. Part of me wants to cry and feels like my heart is breaking and the other half of me is SO happy for you and knows that’s where you need to be...even if that means we’ll be separated for such a long time. You have been one of the greatest friends I have ever had and you will continue to be for years to come. You are encouraging, beautiful, compassionate, godly, and you are one of the most selfless people I know. You love God with all of your heart and it shows in everything you do. You are a wonderful role model for me and everyone else in your life. Your smile lights up a room and your sense of humor will brighten anyone’s day. You are hardworking and determined to achieve things that you set your mind to. You are capable of anything you set your mind to because you have Jesus in your life. All of these wonderful things about you are why I know for a fact that you will do amazing things in Ireland. Although I will miss you terribly, I know that this trip is just one of the numerous things God has planned for your life. You’ve been an incredible friend to me and I know that you will make more friends on your trip that will be blessed by you and your love for life. I will think about you constantly while you’re away and I’ll be counting down the days until you get home again. Stay strong, trust God, and pray often. I love you with every piece of my heart and although I hate that you will be 3,937 miles away, I’m SO proud of you for following God’s call in your life. I’m praying for you always,. Lauren
Dear Haley, You brightened my life when you joined it not so many years ago, and I think you've made an impact that no one else could. You're always smiling, always looking at the brightside, always bringing God's Hope into every situation, and I love you for that. You've been able to visit Lauren and I a couple of times this year, and I can't begin to explain how much that time has meant to me. How much you mean to me. You basically show God's Love in every corner. It's an inspiration. This past year hasn't been the easiest for me, and I'm sure that you know more about it than you want to, but I don't think I ever got to share with you my rededication story. I don't think I have the space here, but I'd like to share the part that you impacted the most. I didn't know what Love was. I didn't know what it looked like. I hardly believed that Love existed at all, and I was jealous of the fact that you looked so full of Love. Seeing you made me want that sort of Love. Now, of course, you weren't the only one that impacted me, but your impact was profound. See, you inspired me to search after Love. And I found it. God showed it to me. Now I have almost as little understanding of Love as I used to, but somehow I know that I'll understand it more. I think your life has shown me that there is always more. Dear, you mean the world to me, and I know that God is going to use you in ways that I can't imagine. I know that your future holds stories that will share the Love that you already shine with. God blessed you with something I can't really explain, but I know, I know, that He's going to use it. Your path may not be understood right now, you might not know where you're being led or to what it will all boil down to. But, Haley, God is Love, and you have God inside of you, I know that without a doubt. There will be times when things don't turn out the way you think they should, or the way you want them to. There will be times when you feel alone, or when you just don't want to look past the fog. Rain is going to pour, clouds are going to come across the sky. It's not going to be easy, but God. But God will be there beside you whether you feel like it or not. He might even be lifting you up, over your mountains. Don't lose sight of His hold on you, it's really easy to do that. I'm going to miss you with a passion, but I know that this is right for you. I knew it as soon as you mentioned it over a year ago. This is right. Dear, keep God first, and everything else will follow. You will always be in my prayers and my heart. With Love, Meredith
Haley! I can't believe you are going to be living in Ireland for nearly a year! I am so proud of you for following Gods will and giving up a year to be used by him! I know you will love it there and everyone you come in contact with is going to love you instantly! When we first became friends on the junior trip, I immediately knew you were an amazing and special girl, and it didn't take you long to become one of my favorite people on earth! I know you will make lots of friends and be the life of the party while you are there, but don't forget about your friends back home! haha I want you to know that I will be praying for you all the time, and praying for your family while they're missing you. I can't wait to catch up with you and hear all of your stories once you are home! Love, Sam | that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith. | Romans 1:12
Haley! I am going to miss you so stinkin' much. You have been such an encouragement to my life and the lives of so many others. During cheer, I looked up to you so much for spiritual encouragement and you always knew what to say. I know God is going to use you in some AMAZING ways! I will be praying and thinking about you. Plus you should meet some cute Irish boy. :) love you girl! And am so proud of you for being so bold in your faith. You are going to be missed so much! Lots of love, Abigail Ormsby | Haley Belle!!! I am soo blessed to have had you in my life! You are such a good friend and a great cheer coach and i am so blessed to have you for both! Thank you for always being so encouraging to me and always being there to listen! :) I am so excited for you that God has called you to Ireland, but selfishly i will miss you greatly!! You will definitely be in my prayers and thoughts and I wish you the best as you follow God's calling! Thanks for everything and remember that your second family is always here if you need anything! ;) Love you!!! Addi
Dearest cookie, Well hello there! I hope that you are having a wonderful experience in Ireland and that you are learning lots about God and yourself! Wherever you are, know that I’m missing you a lot and am praying for you! I’m counting down the days till I get to see your pretty face and finally hear about all the memories you've made. In all the new memories you're making, be sure to always remember me and all the good ones we've had. One of my earliest memories of you is back during our swim team days; all the guys were after you even way back then! Then there's all those times I helped you get ready for dances and you looked like a pretty princess- not that you needed my help! All our awesome photo shoots which provided me with so many wonderful profile pictures! Every time you came over when I’d break up with a boy even if it was a boy i was happy to leave(ok so Chris)! How bout I’m gonna follow you on a boatvrooooom! And all those girls nights outs sticky noting Jimy’s car, my wonderful ten minute lying on the phone and being chased by David and Jimy-good times! So basically we have a billion memories and I can't think of all of them but think of these things and think of me often! I love you so much and can't wait for you to come back to see me so we can have more fun! Love always, Pumpkin(haha funny joke)
Dear Haley, I can't believe you're about to go out of the country for a year! I'm so excited for you. I know it's scary and different, but I know for a fact God has big, big plans for you. Always remember you have tons of people praying for you, and for the work you will be doing. You are an amazing Christian young woman, and I'm sure your parents are really proud of you. :) Now for the nostalgia.I have had so much fun getting to know you the last 5 years! I still remember back to Sunday school with you in 9th grade. I knew we could be awesome friends because you were always happy and you always had a smile on your face. You have encouraged me so much through different trials I have gone through in my life. For that I'm very grateful. When I ended up at King's, I was excited to know that you went there as well! But I definitely have to say that my favorite memory of us by FAR is our epic chocolate milk nights. Which by the way, they no longer sell the Batman bandaids... I know I'm devastated. :P Also, I have really enjoyed teaching Sunday School with you the last few months. Even though getting up early is rather awful, It's totally worth it once I get there and see all the kids. Even the...odd ones... I'm sure that you have made just as big of an impact in their lives as you have made in mine. I'm so thankful God allowed us to be such awesome friends! I will really miss you when you leave, but I can't wait to hear all of the amazing stories and experiences of your trip when you come home. I love you Haley! and you will be in my prayers. lylas, Jess
Proverbs | Haley, One of my greatest joys while teaching was getting to know you. You are a blessing in my life and so many other lives as well. Every Sunday you would come bouncing in the class with your beautiful smile and light up the room. God has blessed you with the gift of His joy and shows in all you do. As you go into this next stage of your life I know that you will be blessed and bring joy to others as you always have. Hold tight to His truth and always remember how cherished you are by so many people. My prayers will be with you and your family because I know how they will miss you. I love you girl and you will always be in my heart. REMEMBER to keep that smile and dance often like no one is watching but our Lord!! -Pat | 31:29-30 | My Sweetest Haley, When you get homesick, and you will, remember this time away is short and will have lasting memories and lessons from the Lord. He will direct you through prayer, parents, authorities. Just listen to them. When I moved to Atlanta at age 23, I was very lonely. God provided friends for me that are still my friends to this day! When I moved to England three years ago, just knowing I could come back really helped me. Of course, that will be true for you. Seize the moment -- invest your life in others. It is all that matters. Life is so short -- God has a plan that He is working out in your life -- follow His lead. Ireland is beautiful. The people are amazing! You must go to the Cliffs of Moher -- amazing!! Keep your eyes focused on the Lord Jesus. I love you very much and will be praying for you -- keep in touch with me DGLRJV@yahoo.com I will keep your parents in check! ^-^ Love forever, Miss Gladys II Chronicles 26:5 -- Read and apply the history of King Uzziah!
Haley, What a huge adventure you are embarking on! I am so proud of you for following God’s calling and trusting Him with your life. Many times on these occasions one thinks the only changed lives will be on the part of the receivers of your sacrifice to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to them, but in reality the changing will also occur within you, Haley. You will grow in the knowledge and grace of God as you give of yourself as His vessel to use as He desires. Take up your cross daily and follow His leading. As each day unfolds, cling to the promises of God that He will always be with you and He is the only provider of your strength for each day. Be courageous in the face of rejection, for they are rejecting Christ, not you. Be humble in the success, for it is the work of the Holy Spirit that produces the meaningful change. And always remember your actions and words are a reflection of the love of Christ as you love those around you. | It has been my joy to know you over the last six years. I think of you as a daughter and love you as one. It will be hard to see you go for such a long period of time, but knowing that the separation comes because of the sacrifice of your willing heart to do Gods bidding, makes it somehow easier. Even though I cannot go with you, I can be with you in spirit as I pray for you each day for Gods supply of all your needs. You are going to a beautiful land, filled with a rich history and a vibrant people. I looked up sayings of the Irish and these two fit the situation and my desire for you. | May your thoughts be as glad as the shamrocks, May your heart be as light as a song, May each day bring you bright, happy hours, That stay with you all the year long. | May the raindrops fall lightly on your brow. May the soft winds freshen your spirit. May the sunshine brighten your heart May the burdens of the day rest lightly upon you. And may God enfold you in the mantle of His love. | With love, Mrs. Morgan
You are a wonderfully gifted young woman. Your joy is infectious. I know The Lord has great plans for you and that you will be a rich blessing to the people you meet in Ireland. I love you and will be praying for you. | Haley, Beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news. Your feet must be just gorgeous! I’m so excited for you to take the good news to Ireland. I pray you are a risk taker concerning sharing your faith. God calls us to trust Him and step out in faith. Sometimes that means taking risks. I think of the disciples that Jesus asked to go to Bethany, untie a colt and bring it to him. I wonder if they were nervous. What if someone thought they were stealing the colt. They weren’t told to buy it. I can think of a million questions that could have run through their heads, making them wonder what they were doing. But, they took the risk and obeyed Jesus. And look what happened, Jesus used that colt to ride into Jerusalem. We all think of that story on Palm Sunday when we sing Hosanna to the Highest. If they had not obeyed, Jesus would have gotten the colt in another way. His plan is never thwarted but how wonderful for those who took the risk and obeyed. I pray you have that unspeakable joy that comes from taking risks in your obedience to God while in Ireland. I love you and look forward to hearing what God is doing through you. Mrs. Kohl | Proverbs | She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. | 31:26 | Isaiah 52:7 | Mark 11:1-11 | Dear Haley, | Mrs. Lipsky
Haley | I can't believe how very fortunate I have been | because the Lord put a desire to cheer in your heart! I | remember watching video footage from your first camp with | us, and I knew that you were something special! Not only were you | a great cheerleader, but more than that, your personality, attitude, and | presence impacted all our lives. With you came an incredible love for | God, passion for worship and knowing Him more, easy laughter, and true | friendship. Times spent with you have lightened my heart and touched me | deeply. It's true that the Lord brings many people into our lives. Some come | and go quickly and we barely notice when they're gone. Others stay for a | while and accompany us on life's journey. Some, no matter how long they stay | make such an impact on our hearts and in our lives that we are never the same. I believe that though you may only stay in Ireland for a year, the impact that you will make there will be undeniable. Because of your love for the Lord and your desire to follow Him wherever He leads, God will use you to touch and shape the hearts and lives of the Irish people. I believe that He will use you mightily, and in the process, I pray He richly blesses your own life! | Over the years Psalms 91 has had special meaning to me. It has brought me comfort during times of fear and uncertainty. Psalms 91 is my prayer for you. I pray that you will "dwell in the shelter of the Most High" and "rest in the shadow of the Almighty". I pray you will say, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." I'm so grateful there isn't any where on the globe that we can go that God doesn't already reside!! | May the Lord bless you and keep you as you follow His lead to Ireland! May He pour out His richest blessings upon your life, and use you to reach the hearts of the Irish!! I can't wait to hear of His works in your life! | I love you, Coach | Coach
Dear Haley, I'm so proud of you for making the decision to go to Ireland! I know God is going to do amazing things in and through you as you travel abroad this year! I hope while you are over there you will grow closer to Him and realize what His plan is for your life. I will be praying for you as you leave and go out on your own! I'm going to miss you and I can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back! I love you! -Courtney | My Dearest Hay-Hay I'm so blessed/lucky/fortunate to know you. You are such a ray of sunshine and your positive attitude always radiates to those around you. You are amazing example for me to always do my best and keep a smile on. Now, you are setting another example for me by showing me to always follow God's call, even if it takes us away from the ones we love. I know that while you are in Ireland you are going to be the ray of sunshine that I know you are and your light will brighten the lives of everyone you meet. Remember Joshua 1:9, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go" I love you! -Danielle "D" Comer | --------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Haley, I cant believe you get to go to Ireland for a whole year! It is such a great opportunity. I bet you will get to meet a lot of great new people. You are an amazing person, and you inspire people. You have so many dreams and wishes, I hope you will accomplish them. (: I love you Haley , I will miss you. It sure will be different and quieter with you not here. I hope you have the time of your life! Love you, Laney Alexus Dawkins | My dearest Haley, I am so proud of you and will be praying for you and thinking about you daily as you head off and leave us all back here in America. (: You are truly one of the sweetest girls I have ever met. Any day, any time...you could always make me smile. Your tender spirit is such a gift from God that only certain people possess, and you are for sure one of them. I pray that this experience will open your eyes to what God has in store for you and that this time will be a life changing experience in which you will grow physically, mentally, and spiritually. Your friendship has been such a gift to me and I hope you keep in touch. While trying to think of the perfect verse to share with you, only one passage came to mind: Psalm 23. Let the Lord be your constant shepherd. I know he will be watching over you and guiding you along the path He has chosen for you. (: All my love, prayer, and support, Alex Lipsky
Dear Haley, I am so excited for the adventure God has in store for you this next year! You will be greatly missed by all of us here, but know that God will be using you in a mighty way in Ireland. I know you are probably excited and possibly even a little scared, but just rest in Him. You have grown to be such a godly young woman and have made your family (and friends) very proud. When I think of memories, I immediately think of watching Lost with y'all on Wednesday nights...and the deep discussions we would have trying to figure it all out and relating it to good/evil, Jesus/Satan. You have a great sense of God's truth. Plus, you could so remember details from several seasons back when I could barely remember what happened the previous week! LOL I also loved the video you and Jess made as yoga instructors. I laugh every time I watch it! Y'all were hysterical!!!! I love how your family has taken us in and just loved on us. Continue that when you are in Ireland. Just know, someone there needs to feel His love as well. Jesus just shines through you. When you get sad or scared, just remember you are doing what God has called you to do. He will direct your steps. I can't wait to hear all the stories that you will be sharing. I love you and will miss you tremendously!!!! Ms. Kim | Dearest Haley, I am so proud of you for making this decision to travel so far to help others. You are such an amazing girl, oops. . . I mean young woman. I knew you as a little girl and even then you were extraordinary in your loving ways. I have so many fond memories of you and your family from back in the day. Then there came a time when you and Mary were in separate schools with different friends and routines. Time and more time went by before I saw you again. I think it might have been in Honey Baked Hams Restaurant around Easter time and there you were. All grown up, looking so beautiful and a lot like your mother! And there in your eyes, was the same sweet spirit I remembered and as evident as ever. I am serious, Haley, your Christian love has always reached out to greet me and I have loved and been thankful for it every time! God has given you this gift and you share it well. I am so grateful that, once again, you are present in my life! I know that everyone there will love you, so do your thing, Precious Girl, and then come home again to all the people like me, who value you for exactly who you are. . . inside and out!! I love you Haley! XOXO, Mrs. Terri
My Precious Haley, As I sit here at my office, typing this, it is finally hitting me that you are actually leaving! I want to start out by saying how unbelievably proud I am of you. You are about to set out on the adventure of a lifetime!! Throughout this next year, you will go through many different emotions: excitement, fear, joy, sorrow, wonder, confusion, contentment, peace. You will grow in your faith, but understand that your faith will be challenged. When you go out on your own, away from the comfort and security of your family and friends, you may feel homesick at times---it may even seem overwhelming and you may feel like you need to go home. I encourage you to pray for the strength to stay when you feel like leaving. God has blessed you with this tremendous opportunity and He has placed you in this country for a reason. I know you are there with the intention of sharing Jesus with others, but you are also there for God to change you. Change can be scary and I think you are fabulous just the way you are now, but God wants to work a great work in you! Open your heart, spirit, and mind to all that He wants to teach you through this experience. You have always held a special place in my heart, my sweet Haley. From the time you were a little baby, you have made me laugh and you have loved all of us with a pure, unconditional love. I will so miss that bright, beautiful smile of yours and your big Haley hugs! But, I also know that so many people will be blessed by the same joy and love that you bring to our family. As you witness to the people you meet, always remember to love them unconditionally. Love them with the same love that Jesus shared with all He met. Try not to judge them for their unbelief or for their misguided beliefs. Learn from them. Be open to new and different experiences. Take in every day---truly look at the world before you, look in the eyes of the people you meet, smell the different smells, try new foods, do something that scares you! As you read this, just know that I am praying for you. I am missing you more than you know. I am praying for your family because I know they will miss you terribly. But, I am also anxiously awaiting your stories and pictures and ponderings of a new and different perspective on life. Going away from home and going to a different country will change you forever. Embrace that change! I love you so very much. May God bless you and keep you in His loving arms. Love, Aunt Patti
Dear Haley, Words cannot describe the joy in my heart that you are walking in God's calling on your life. Perfect peace comes with submission to Gods plan for you. It's like reading a book. You don't know what the next chapter holds, but you know it's for your good and God's glory. You and I have a wonderful bond of laughter and I truly believe that gift will see us through hard times, sad times, etc. always knowing that our strength is in the Lord. I'm sure this is going to be a growing experience for you and I'm praying each day for your protection and your ministry to those God sends your way. You are very special to me in so many ways. You are a light in a dark room and a great joy to those you are around. I love you so much my beautiful and sweet granddaughter. Love, Grandma | Dear Haley, I sit here thinking of my lovely granddaughter and how blessed we are that God sent you to us. Haley, I will pray for you each day that you feel close to God and that you know his purpose and calling for each day. We and you are so blessed that we love Jesus and he has blessed us in so many ways. I pray that you will follow his will and be encouraged each day by the way you see him using you. I pray for your protection and that he will put you with good people who will love you. If anyone does not accept the message that God has given you, don't worry you have planted a seed. I pray that this will be a wonderful journey in your life and it will fill you with joy and blessing. Thanks for being a such a special person in my life, and you will be for the people in Ireland. I love you, Papa
To The Young Lady Who Made Me A Nana, What a joy you have been. You light up my life as I remember when you were born. It was a privilege to see you emerge, so red and precious, to me the most beautiful baby ever although in truth there wasn't a hint of the beauty you would become. Your Mom bought you to visit me at work when you were about six months old and your face lit with a smile when you saw me. The first time you called me Nana was very special. We spent a lot of time together before your sisters were born as you and Ashes would come visit for days at a time. I always looked forward to having you. You always knew what you wanted. One time I had exercise pants on and you looked at me and told me to change as you didn't like them so I did. You were just five. All the fun at the beach house with you on the three quarters bed and the chameleon. Your sharp eyes found all the animals. You were a very good, well behaved child. You showed caring and concern when you and your Dad rescued Auntie Audrey and that cat from the freeze. As you have grown you are still beautiful inside where it really counts although being drop dead gorgeous doesn't hurt either. As you know, I left home at eighteen and have been self supporting since then. It was scary to go to London where I knew no one. Unlike you I didn't leave a loving home but when you are sad or scared, remember that you have family and friends who love you and God is always there in good and bad times. Just believe. With love and prayer always, Your Nana | Dear Haley: I want you to know how proud I am of the person you are. It is just icing on the cake that you also happen to be gorgeous! It is rare that someone is as beautiful as you on both the inside and outside. I admire you for the person you are, for the person that you have always been. Even from the time you were three or four you would say things that had a wisdom beyond your years. You may think that your values and morals come from your parents and the church. I believe that they are just part of who you were when you arrived here on Earth. I admire you being a person who lives by values. I admire your sense of family, honesty, and harmony. If we had more Haleys, the world would be a much better place. I am so lucky to be a part of your family and I want you to remember that you can always count on my love and support anytime, anyplace, for any reason. You call and I will always come running. Your Devoted Uncle, Simon
Precious Haley Shannon, God has had his hand on your life, since the day you were born. Even as a little baby you had the shine of a beautiful soul. I admire your willingness to follow God’s will for your life with such strength and courage. I pray that God will bless your ministry in a powerful way and that you will grow in his knowledge and grace. You are so loved and you are such an inspiration to so many. You have always had a tender heart for God and for his work. I can’t wait to hear all of the amazing stories you will share with us when you get home. Until then, I pray that God’s mighty Angels surround you and protect you and that the peace of God fill your heart. May joy and mercy follow you wherever your divine journey takes you. I love you and I am so proud of you, Aunt Keren | Dear Haley, I just wanted to send you this little note as you head out on your big adventure. I want you to know just how proud of you I am and how jealous I am that you get to have this once in a lifetime experience. Always remember that you are deeply loved and are constantly in our prayers. Take every moment you have there and cherish it and remember each one is a gift. God has truly touched your life and he has great things in store for you. You must simply be brave enough to trust in his unfailing grace and accept all the challenges and experiences he has for you. Remain strong in your faith and never forget that even while you might feel a little alone in this new big world you are a part of, you are still a part of a family that cares for you and you are held in the hands of God who loves you more than you can ever fathom. Never lose your faith in either him or yourself. I love you and will keep you in my prayers. Jeff
Dear Haley, We are so proud of you! God’s hand on your life is obvious to everyone that you encounter. Your warm smile! Your sweet approach! Your genuine love of life! Your laugh! And most importantly, your walk with Christ! Never take for granted the power of influence you have on others. No matter our role, we all have an important work to be accomplished. Leadership is not about titles or positions of power. It’s all about relationships. People will follow if they know you have their interest at heart. They will gladly open their heart, mind, and spirit to those they trust. During this time, we hope you will reflect on God’s purpose in your life. Take time to be still and listen to voice of God. He has special things planned for you. Our savior is not pushy. God can do anything, far more than you can ever imagine or dream possible. He does it not by pushing us around, but by working deeply and gently within us. Our role is to listen for His voice, and to be obedient to His callings. The simple fact you are on this mission trip is proof of that very point. Haley, we love you and pray that you will create memories that will serve as a foundation for your walk with Christ for years to come. Enjoy the time you have been given to explore God’s wonderful creation. Explore the beauties of the world; soak up the culture of the people, and explore the quiet places where many before you stopped and pondered the questions of life. The experiences you will have will change your perspective. It will broaden your understanding and will enrich not only your life but those around you. We can’t wait to see you updates. Keep a journal. Things that may seem small today will be the moments you later cherish. Be blessed our sweet Haley and know that you are loved and that your family and friends are thinking of you and praying for you while away from home. You are loved! Uncle Billy and Aunt Melissa,
