24: We enjoyed walking around the grounds at the Creation Museum. They had a small collection of animals that you could feed. | Lovely spring day!
26: Lakeshore Area Regional Recovery of Indiana (LARRI) Hammond, Indiana March 7-13
27: 6:00 a.m. - packing lunches 7:00 a.m. - breakfast Devotions 8:00 a.m. - off to work | We had a nice group of folks to work with on the projects.
28: repairing the door......laying tile.... cutting tile.... painting... cleaning windows..... Carolyn's house....
31: A Day In The Kitchen! Janet Tubbs and I had fun working together in the kitchen, shopping for groceries, making communion bread, preparing supper for the working crew. It was a delight to get to know Janet on a more personal level!
32: We painted the basement at Paul & Betty Hudson's house. The "Hankie Head" crew! It was fun working together.... even with the smiley face painting! :)
34: Steve and Jeremy had the job of cementing a future site for a bathroom in the basement of Paul and Betty Hudson.
35: John helped to bring more needed cement
36: We helped to do some work at another job site at the home of James and his mother. We painted, pulled up old carpet, and installed hard wood flooring. Gary, Indiana
37: James got inspired and did some painting while we were away for the evening. ...the painting crew busy painting the living room.
38: Steve pulled up three layers of flooring. We prepared and installed underlayment on the floor and then installed the linoleum.
39: Very challenging job at the home of Paul & Betty Hudson.
40: Group activities... singing, helping in the kitchen.... homemade ice cream...having fun, sharing, laughing, playing games... awesome cooks!
41: We stayed in a parsonage house, owned by the nearby church. ...more of our work force and some of the work trucks used for tools and transportation.
42: Steve really enjoyed getting to know John Tubbs, one of the job coordinators.
43: Our beloved brother and sister, John and Janet Tubbs, from Temple, Texas
45: We spent time traveling to see the sand dunes at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, located along Lake Michigan. We hiked up the sand dunes, ran down the mt. of sand out on to the shelf ice, to see Lake Michigan. We are grateful that Jesus protected us from not falling through the ice, although some of us got wet feet.
