BC: Kim Possible is on the trail of Dr. Drakken and needs to learn how to do the Pythagorean theorem. Will Kim Possible be able to learn the theorem in time or will she be to late? Find out in this epic adventure.

Kim Possible and the Pythagorean Theorem | By: Kortney Jones, Robert Templeton and Daniel Wilson | Illustrated By: KeUndria Smoot & Tanesha Merritt

One day during cheerleading practice, Kim Possible gets a an urgent message. She asked her coach, "May I be excused for a bathroom break?"

She hurries and sneaks out of the bathroom and heads to her locker where she meets Ron and asks Wade, "What's the Sitch?"

"Kim we need you to stop Dr. Drakken from destroying Middleton High School. He has built a laser and is in the top of the Abandoned Storage building which stands 25 feet tall," Wade reported. Kim then replied, "I'm on it," then she closes her locker.

Kim goes and gets the supplies she needs to do this mission.

When arriving at the Abandoned Storage building Kim grabs her rope and throws it. She hooks onto the first window and she begins to climb the building. By the time Kim reaches the first window, Dr. Drakken had escaped.

Kim returns home from her mission. She goes into the kitchen so that way she can talk to her Dad. Her Mom was getting ready to leave for the hospital. Kim tells her Dad that she failed her mission. Her Dad asked her, "Did you use the Pythagorean Theorem?" Kim responds, "What is the Pythagorean Theorem?"

Kim says that the building was 25 ft high. She was standing 10 ft from the building. Kim asks her Dad, "How long the rope would need to be?" Then Kim's father shows her that a^2+b^2=c^2. Kim's father shows her where she made her mistakes and shows her the formula, 25^2 + 10^2=c^2. Now she knows how to use the Pythagorean Theorem. Kim says that 25 squared is 625 and 10 squared is 100 and together they make 725. Then the square root of 725 is 26.9 ft. That is how long of a rope she needs.

The next day, Kim was called during lunch by Wade. Wade said, " Dr. Drakken is in the State building that is 45 ft tall, and we need you to stop him." Kim says, "I'm on it and I know now how to do it!" Wade replies, "Huh?" Kim says, "It is something different."

Before Kim goes on her new mission she uses her new knowledge of the Pythagorean Theorem to figure out how long her rope needs to be. She asks herself, "If I stand 20 ft from the 45 ft tall State building then how long does my rope need to be?"

Kim says, "a^2 + b^2=c^2." Kim is now figuring out the problem. 20^2 + 45^2=c^2. 400+2025=c^2. She then square roots 2425 and gets that c=49.2ft. She grabs her 49.2 ft rope and leaves.

Kim found the building and shot her rope up to the top of the State building. She climbed on top of the building and beat Shego. She hurried up and caught Dr. Drakken.

Dr. Drakken says, "Your to late Kim Possible!" Kim hurries over to him and kicks him in the chest. After she fights him for a few minutes, Dr. Drakken escapes.

Kim returned to lunch and waited for her next mission. She has now learned the Pythagorean Theorem and its importance.

 Notes | The Pythagorean Theorem is a^2 + b^2= c^2. A and B are legs and C is called the Hypotenuse. (^2) means squared. Example: Find the value of c. a^2+b^2=c^2 3^2+ 4^2= c^2 9+16=c^2 25=c^2 sqrt*25=c ^2 5 = c
