1: Ephesians 3:16-19 That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
5: Dr. Glenn, My favorite memories of you are the moments when you weren't our teacher but our friend. However it happened, our AMT group had a special bond with you and you invested in that relationship. It never had anything to do with us but everything to do with the way you willing shared with us. I have benefited countless times from your testimonies of God's work in you. You were always willing to share with us – the pain and the pleasure – and you went out of your comfort zone to be a part of our lives. Thank you. I always remember how you got started teaching. You were so happy in the Alumni office and it took a while before you gave that up. When you did, though, God doubled your joy in teaching. You trusted Him then and you're trusting Him now. I am fully confident that He will provide “exceeding abundantly above all we could ask or think” for you – again. I can’t wait to see what He has in mind this time. Heather, Well, since I was never actually your student, I don’t know if I have a favorite memory of you. Despite our lack of interaction, though, you’ve adopted me as a peer. Thank you for putting up with my endless questions and all the advice you have given me. You are always open and willing to share your knowledge with me and I have benefited from you countless times (and I doubt I’m done). Thank you for your advice, support and prayers. I can’t wait to see what God has for you next! ~ Cynthia

9: Heather: Some of my favorite memories are from your "sermons" in class. Thank you so much for being so transparent about what you have gone through in your life. One thing you reinforced in my mind is that trials and hard times are meant to grow us closer to our Lord. Everyone hears that all the time, but seeing it in "color" makes it more understandable. You have made a difference in my life and I will remember the impact you have made! Dr. Glenn: One of my favorite memories occurred on the UBA trip to NY & DC in 2008. We stopped only to find out that the rest stop consisted of three port-a-potties and sinks that pumped. We got a picture of you coming out of the port-a-potty and we all laughed about our interesting experience. Thank you so much for the time you invested in my life. You taught me how to apply what I was learning to "real-life" with stories and examples. When certain situations come up, I think back to principles you taught in class. I'm so thankful for you and the difference you made in my life! Rachael

13: Dr. Glenn and Heather, Words cannot explain the impact you have both made on me. God placed you both in my life just when I needed and for that, I am forever grateful. You've served as an encouragement, an educator, and as a friend and I appreciate the love and dedication you have both demonstrated. More than that, you've both shown me Christ. Thank you for being willing to be used by God in a capacity few choose and thanks for teaching me the importance of small things. You have shaped my life professionally and spiritually and I cannot thank you enough. I'm excited to see how God is going to continue to use you and by His grace, continue to lead you. With love, Rachel

16: Dr. Glenn & Heather, My dear best friends - how can I summarize how much you mean to me in one page? I still remember the first day I walked into each of your classes. I was so excited to get to know you both. You both came into my life by the hand of God. God used you both in my life in a powerful way. Thank you for being such great examples to me. You have been great influences in the shaping of my life: professionally, personally, and spiritually. I pray that God will continue to bless you and give you grace as you begin this new adventure. Love you SO MUCH! Chelsea
18: Thanks for all of the things that you guys taught me, both inside and outside of the classroom. You challenged and stretched me to do and be more than I ever thought I could be. Dr. Glenn, I still laugh every time I think about you calling me “cat.” I love you guys! ~ Sam
19: The best memories are all the times I would think of a reason to go to their offices to more or less ask them "what do you think about this?" They always has the best advice for life. ~ Jodi
20: The NYC trip was a lot of fun. One of my favorite memories of the trip is when Dr. Glenn kissed the pig. Her classes were always fun. You never knew what you were going to get when you walked into class. A mini sermon, lots of laughs, or just get straight to the lecture. But I learned so much from her teachings, especially her mini sermons. She was definitely the best teacher at the Bob. ~ Angela Bowers
23: When God created teachers, He gave us special friends To help us understand His world And truly comprehend The beauty and the wonder Of everything we see, And become a better person With each discovery. When God created teachers, He gave us special guides To show us ways in which to grow So we can all decide How to live and how to do What's right instead of wrong, To lead us so that we can lead And learn how to be strong. Why God created teachers, In His wisdom and His grace, Was to help us learn to make our world A better, wiser place. We love you so much. Thank you for loving us and investing in our lives.
