FC: The Goblin Forest | A Dark Faery Tale
A dark Fantasy Faery Tale Conceived , Designed & Written By LeSerpent Rouge copyright 2011 Dimensionalised in Second Life
A faery fell softly to sleep Under the stars and the pale moonlight She drifted away into the faery dreaming deep into the night. Then she heard it; a soft whispering sounding deep.
Then she heard a voice Out of the Darkness softly calling The Goblin King came slowly creeping Whispering “Are you sleeping? The Night is falling.”
All the while the Goblin King is scheming, Wishing to hear the children screaming When he steals the heart of a faery dreaming, To take from the World its Magic and Light And hide it away from the children's sight.
With the flash of sails against the dark skylight, Riding harsh winds across the Realm of Twilight, The Goblin King stole the faery away. Deep in the dark and gloomy forest Is where she will stay, locked far away.
Her tears fell softly all around. They fell, covering the cold, muddy ground. But no one heard her crying, not a sound. Alas, she would never be found.
She wandered the Goblin Forest for many years, The darkness of Goblins filling her fears. She wandered, trailing golden tears; To warn all others to stay clear Or be trapped as well for many long years.
One day she heard a very strange sound. First it grumbled, then rumbled, then shook the ground. She hid in the trees wondering what it could be. With the Forest so gloomy, she could hardly see. A flash of red then caught her eye. She saw something glimmering in the sky, Then red wings moving way up high.
A huge Red Dragon landed on the ground. It seemed that the faery had been found. At first no one made the slightest sound. The great Red Dragon saw her pain and sorrow. “Cry no more, little fae. We'll be leaving tomorrow.”
The Red Dragon felt a rage like a thorn, And his heart was filled with rage and scorn. “I swear the Goblin King will be found! And at that time, he shall be bound. Far away from all Magic, Dreams, and Light, And never take children's dreams at night, Nor a Faery from the children's sight!”
The little faery and huge RedDragon Took to their winged flight, Soaring across a sky filled with stars As their guiding light. They flew throughout the entire night. Eventually, they found her home. She would never again be on her own; Never again be all alone.
The faery lived through the gloom and the dark of the Goblin King's long nights. With the help of her new found friend, She was saved, and returned to the Light.
