The four friends met at their favorite table to eat their lunch. At the table they had their usual everyday conversation about school and comic books. Miguel asked, "Hey William, there's a party this Wednesday. You think you can make it?"
"I don't know," replied William. "School just started and I might have a lot of homework that day." "Oh come on!" Interrupts David, "There's no way you can have a ton of homework."
"Okay, okay, okay. I will ask my Mom tonight," said William.
The next day at school, William explained to his friend what happened. "Sorry guys, I wont be able to make the party this Wednesday. My parents don't think it's a good idea." "Oh come on man!" Just sneak out," suggested David. "Yeah!" Yelled Jordan, "You're a sneaky guy."
"I don't... know," said William, "I don't want to disobey my parents." "Well, whatever." Said Miguel, "You're the one that's going to miss out."
The day of the party came and William still wanted to go, but instead of going he listened to his parents.
The next day at school William's three friends arrived late for class looking very upset.
Later on, William found out that the party had been broken up by the police. William was very happy that he chose to listen to his parents and not go to that party.
