S: PA to NY November 2011

FC: From PA | To NY | 2011

MEDA convention & NewYork city tour November 3-11 2011

Lancaster PA was our venue for the MEDA Convention 2011 What a gorgeous setting and beautiful sunny days as well.

Our tours were self guided as we shopped the many little towns along the way.

Horse & buggy shared the roads with us as the Amish still use them as their mode of transportation

Spent the afternoon driving through the country side, on Beautiful fall day.

So much character in all the beautiful stone and brick buildings. Along with the horse and bugy traffic made it quite relaxing.

Horse and bugies even made it to the malls, to get their needed supplies | Many Farms were using horses to work the land, very nostalgic.

More farm yards amongst the rolling hills.

Kids either walking or on scooters was the norm. Barn being built had a lone worker on it, thought we might see a building bee.

Homes with candles in each window, seemed very welcoming.

From the Amish country side to the concrete jungle of New York. | To that oh so familiar skyline. | Even went to NY Ranger game in MSG

And Carol in Forever XXI, happy happy. Times Square, you have to see it grasp the intrigue of it all. This curved building was 10 story video image.

More shots of Times Square, amazing church, interesting street names, and funky shoes. And of course TIM HORTONS Times Square New York City.

Building with their fire escapes decorating the skyline.

Subway the best way to get around, and was clean and very efficient.

 Sky Line from the Ferry

Ferry trip takes you right by the Statue of Liberty

 Staton Island Ferry

World Trade tower being rebuilt & helicopter flying over the Statue of Liberty

Watching the sun set from the Brooklyn Bridge

Sun set from the Brooklyn Bridge, with the silhouette Statue of Liberty.

Very interesting architecture every where, here this building looks like it is twisted into shape.

After a walk along the bridge a beautiful dinner on a outside patio in little Italy.

More Bridge shots just so can get the feel of the beautiful evening.

And of course a jog in Central Park. A highlight of our visit

 NYC Central Park

A trip to the big Apple wouldn't be the same without a Broadway show, And a visit with Family, and a visit to Somerlea's favorite bakery.

Rice Pudding anyone? More flavors than you can imagine, this will be a stop we will not miss when in NYC

Then a subway trip to New Jersey. For a fabulous dinner with Somerlea, Esteban, and the pups. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

 Our Fabulous hosts

And ending it with a competitive game of eight ball.
