15: This day on the river featured... 1. An Indian footbridge (remains). 2. An old mine shaft. 3. A recent rockfall on the RED wall limestone. And a day of small rapids.

22: After these pictures were taken, we saw a storm coming. We had to move quickly out of the side canyon to avoid a potential flash flood
24: Phantom Ranch: Cold drinks, Postcards & running water! | The 'First-Half Folks' left this morning and hiked to the rim!
25: We hiked to the Diamond Creek landing to meet the Second-Half Folks. (Several of our group missed the turn and walked a little extra).

36: Trek to Deer Creek We hiked from Tapeats Creek across Surprise Valley down to the Deer Creek drainage.
38: Madkatamiba Canyon The amount of water in the canyon was unusually high. This was one of the side hikes we did 16 years ago.

48: GRAND CANYON WATERPARK On the last day we played in the best water park: we ran and jumped on the paddle boat to be launched on the other side, jumped off two 30-foot-high cliffs and swam the rapids.
