1: The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. St. Augustine
2: Arrived in Bohol via Philippine Airlines. The bus took us around and we saw a lot of mangroves along the way. Mangroves are various kinds of trees up to medium height and shrubs that grow in saline coastal sediment habitats in the tropics and subtropics.
4: Tarsiers cannot be kept as a pet because they may die of psychological trauma when caged, They can live up to 24 years old but only 12 years when in captivity. The stress of living in small cages without their own kind, is simply too much to bear. Sometimes they commit suicide by hitting their head against their cage walls or anything available.
8: Butterfly Garden
13: Bohol's Chocolate Hills | The Chocolate Hills is an unusual geological formation in Bohol Province, Philippines. There are at least 1,260 hills but there may be as many as 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometers (20 sq mi). They are covered in green grass that turns brown (like chocolate) during the dry season, hence the name.
15: Pictorial with the chocolate hills
17: The Loboc River is now one of the major destinations of tourists, local and foreigners alike. Located in the Municipality of Loboc, a mere 24 kilometers away from Tagbilaran City, the winding river plays host to cruisers on board small bancas or floating restaurants.
21: Next stop was the Bohol Albuquerque Zoo. What you see inside the zoo is the "Prony," a 25-foot python, believed to be the world's largest python in captivity. The python weighs more than 200 kilos with a 28 inches body width. With this size, it is said to be that of a 40-year old python, but the python is still young. It was caught in October 21, 1996, with a weight of 5 kilos and a length of 5 feet. Aside from this python, there are also birds of different species.
