We got to our resort at 3:30ish, and headed up to our home for the next 9 days... room 5464 on the 4th floor of the '60's section.
 Hellooo Pop Century Resort!
One of the stores that we visited was the Lego Store and they had tons of sculptures made of Lego!!
Our 1st evening in Florida, we headed over to Downtown Disney. We took the Disney bus and it took about 15 minutes. We did some site seeing, checked out some of the shops and then had dinner at Paradiso 37.
Happy 5th Birthday Mathew! | Our day started with a Character Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine Restaurant in Hollywood Studios. | Handy Manny | Jake | Special Agent Ozo | June | Sunday
Mathew had some special friends at his party this year and Victoria found an admirer in Jake. | January 8th
Victoria and Mathew got quite a few autographs at these character sightings.
Mickey had a hard time holding up 5 fingers for Mathew's Birthday... he needed both hands! | Meeting | Some | New | Friends
Victoria didn't get to participate in the American Idol Experience (she was too young) but boy oh boy did she want to!
Victoria got to star in a 'mock' title sequence of the Phineas & Ferb Show.
What a fantastic show! We all loved it! We learned a lot of camera tricks. | "Lights | Motors | Action!"
This was a great play area. Everything was huge! Mathew and Victoria were the 'bugs' in this world! | "A | Bug's | Life"
 Monday, January 9th
Our Best Day in Disney!! | The weather was 24 and sunny with cloudy breaks the day we did Blizzard Beach. Victoria did Slush Gusher - the 80 foot drop slide! Crazy Daddy did Summit Plummet - the 120 foot drop slide! Mathew's favorite was the family tube ride called Teamboat Springs, and Mommy liked the Toboggan Racers where we all got to race each other.
A Magical Visit with Rafiki (and Mickey, Donald & Goofy) | Animal Kingdom | Tuesday January 10th
When we got to Animal Kingdom we went straight to get a 'Fast Pass' for the Kilimanjaro Safari Ride. We had time for a bite to eat first & we lucked out with a table at | 'Tuskar House' for a Character Breakfast with our Safari outfitted friends!
This Safari was really cool! We rode in a jeep like the one in the picture here and the animals were all roaming around us. The driver was good at pointing out animal sightings and he even added some humor to the tour.
The 'Fast Track' was one of our favorite rides... we did it twice! We also really liked Soarin'. We stayed here for Epcot's fire and water show, 'Illuminations' and it was neat too. There was a globe that changed colors and rotated around as it got closer to us. | Fun at
Epcot | Mathew and Victoria met 'Duffy,' Disney's newest bear. He was very funny. When I was about to take their picture, Duffy covered their faces. It was a very cute moment. | Wednesday, January 11th
Happily Ever After | We were lucky enough to catch all 3 parades in 1 day at this park. | The "Main Street Electrical" Parade | The "Celebrate A Dream Come True" Parade
This was our favorite. The ' Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party Parade. | They sang a really catchy tune and the lyrics went..."Hey, get up, get loud. We're pumpin' up the party now!' | Thursday, January 12th
Every time we ended up at this statue garden, we took a picture with a different stone character and there were probably about 20 of them!.
Mathew was a bit frightened of this big Zork statue. He was even nervous to pose out in front of it.
This was our 1st lazy day in Disney World. We came to play a round of golf (for $40.00...Yikes). But the course was really neat. Each hole had something that moved, something that was musical or something that even sprayed water.
Fantasia's Golf Course | Friday, January 13th | Victoria got a 'legit' hole in one! | After golfing, we did some exploring and found the ESPN Club for some lunch and the food was really good.
Winter Summerland Golf Course | Saturday, January 14th
Today, we headed back to Blizzard Beach. This time our sweaters and jackets replaced the bathing suit and towels we wore the last time we were here. It was a bit chili out - very fitting, seeing as we played the 'winter' side of the course. The holes here were very cute with Santa everywhere. We all got a hole in one at some point but Mommy got 4 of them.
Sunday, January 15th | 3 different animal shows...
the dolphin one was our favorite! | We decided to take in some animal shows and they were all great. | The Sea Lion/Walrus show had some comedy to it. The Whale one was more about the environment. | The dolphin one had acrobats and some beautiful birds too.
Mathew and Victoria went on a mini roller coaster together. They also posed in a tube that made them look like they were swimming in an aquarium with the fish!
"Ridin' Round" SeaWorld | The kids favorite ride at SeaWorld was the 'Flying Fiddler'. They loved it because it gave them butterflies in there bellies!
Our itinerary consisted of 3 port of calls: Half Moon Cay, Nassau and Freeport | Cruisin' the Bahamas | Monday,January 16th
These are some of our first sites from the Veranda Deck aboard the "Carnival Ecstasy." We set sail at 4:20pm (right after our safety briefing).
She had a great time learning a crazy dance with our waiter... and we all had a blast watching her. | The Formal Night party was a big hit (especially for Victoria).
Let the journey begin! | This was our room - tight quarters but we had all we needed... including room for some towel friends
Beautiful scene! | Half Moon Cay Beach | Wednesday, January 18th | (Carnival's own private island)
This was a great day for us. We did some lounging on the beach, playing in the sand, had a BBQ lunch and the kids had their 1st swim in the ocean! | If we ever make it back here, Victoria and I want to do this horseback ride we saw from the ship's deck. She wasn't old enough this time around.
Atlantis | This was our favorite part of the cruise... the water park! Mathew was a bit too short to do most of the bigger slides but we made the most of it. Victoria was brave and did the body drop slide with daddy once and then again with mommy. This place had the best lazy river ever too. It had rapids and tidal waves... awesome day!
Bahamas | Nassau, | Thursday, January 19th | This is also where we went swimming with the dolphins! The kids absolutely loved our dolphin named 'Kelly.' She was a Hurricane Katrina survivor and had some scars to show for it. She was very friendly and did tons of tricks. Even hugs and kisses for all!
 Art in and around Nassau
Freeport, Bahamas | Friday, January 20th | At this stop, we just lolligagged around the market at the pier. | Victoria used her own money to have a 1/4 of her head done in corn braids and beads.
Victoria & Mathew spent a ton of time at this part of the ship... even though the water was Freezing!! | Slip Sliding Away...Again!
This guy was 'Fun Ship Freddie.' Mathew was not his biggest fan! | We caught this sunset the one night that we didn't go to our table for dinner. We ate on the Promenade deck and this was a great view.
