S: Our Honeymoon
BC: Its hard to believe our wedding and honeymoon are over, but we couldn't have planned it better. Everything was perfect and it was such a magical place! We are thankful for such wonderful parents, friends, and family who made this possible. We had an amazing first adventure together and can't wait for the many more ahead of us!
FC: Our amazing honeymoon to Savusavu, Fiji
After 11 hours to Nadi, we still had an hour plane ride to Savusavu. This plane was so small, I was able to reach out and touch the pilot. Needless to say, I did not enjoy this part of the trip!
We finally made it!! The island's beautiful, the people are friendly and the resort is amazing! We couldn't wait to check in. We were greeted with coconut drinks and a foot massage. It was the first time Brandon let anyone touch his feet and I think he enjoyed it more then me! After our pampering we were off to explore our room...
Welcome Home | Our Bure was amazing. The outdoor shower was perfect for a refreshing cool shower. I loved our canopy bed. It was so comfy and every night the nets got lowered for us to sleep under
Most of the meals were served in the main Bure. It was surrounded by open windows and gigantic doors. We enjoyed the bar and having dinner with other couples. The food was amazing and we looked forward to meal time. If we weren't eating, we were exploring the island because we were on Fiji time!
We hit the ground running our first day! So much for sleep! After lunch, we joined a few others and went snorkeling at Split Rock. This place was AMAZING! I had never seen so many fish and coral before. Fish were everywhere. It was unbelievable!
The food was amazing! Everything was so fresh! They grew alot of the fruits and vegetables at the resort. During the day they would go and catch the seafood. I have never tasted fish so amazing before. Brandon made sure to oder the fish every chance he got.
After piling into the van, we were off to the waterfall. First stop-ask permission from the chief. The waterfall was on his land and we had to take him a special gift in order to visit. After a small hike into the rainforest, we arrived. It was super cool. The water was cold, but Brandon didn't mind. He tried to see how high he could climb and jump off.
 Boys will be boys!!
I can not say enough for how amazing this massage was. After a small hike into the rainforest, we finally reached the spa. There is a beautiful waterfall next to it. It was so relaxing listening to the water. The banana leaves were just picked, laid on the table and covered with oil. After we were on top of the leaves, they covered us with more oil and started the two hour massage. We were in heaven! They wrap us up like a taco and allow the oil to set in. I think we both fell asleep. It felt amazing! After our massage, we took a hot shower and headed to dinner.
After dinner, we were fortunate to have the local village come and perform for us. Their dances included ritual and tribal traditions. The kids were the best part to watch. They were so animated and full of energy!! It was exciting to see how Fiji use to be.
Our first Thanksgiving together and we celebrated it Fiji style! Our food had been cooking for hours underground until they finally "unearthed" it. We had fish, kale, salad and rice, along with a few other things I didn't try. We all sat together and everyone went around the table to say what they were thankful for. I was thankful to have an amazing husband.
We headed into the market to see what we could find. They had everything you could think of- spices, fruits, vegetables and fish. That's when we found our beautiful lobster. We were lucky the resort volunteered to cook it for us. We headed back with a lobster and 4 lbs of pineapple! | The Market
A day off in Fiji... what to do? Lets snorkel and relax in the sun! We headed over to the resorts private beach and went snorkeling. There were blue starfish everywhere. Brandon tried to smuggle one back to the U.S, but I caught him and made him leave it behind. It was so relaxing out by the ocean and I enjoyed spending time together. We joked about buying a house and never coming home. We are truly on Fiji time.
We headed back up to the spa for our private candlelit dinner. It was so romantic. They had candles set up everywhere and our own private butler. Everything was perfect.
We were so excited to finally get our lobster we picked out at the market. It was delicious! The chef did such a wonderful job with everything. We have been spoiled! It was such a magical night. I couldn't imagine spending my honeymoon any other way.
The owners suite was amazing and we enjoyed spending time with other couples.
 Getting Ready...
S C U B A | Our first scuba dive. I was so nervous, but had a blast! We practiced in the pool and then we were off to the ocean...
Brandon couldn't wait to get in the water. When we entered the water, it was like going into another world It was amazing. There were so many fish. Brandon saw a shark as soon as he jumped in and was so excited. Unfortunately, Brandon almost ran out of air and we didn't finish the dive together, but still had fun
The weather was beautiful and the owners decided to open the seaside bure for dinner. The sun was setting and the food was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better night.
The Honeymoon Bure | The last night we went up to the honeymoon bure. It was beautiful. It was high in the treetops of the rainforest. We had the perfect view overlooking the ocean!
The morning before we left, we got breakfast in bed. It was so hard leaving the resort and the island. Everything was perfect. We were sad to lave, but excited to see what other adventures we could get in to...
