FC: Honeymooning in St Thomas

1: Just Married... | The morning after our amazing wedding we headed to the DFW airport to fly out to St Thomas. We arrived at the Ritz-Carlton late that night with just enough time to get a drink and the best tuna tartar we've ever had. We spent most of the week lounging out on the beach, soaking up the sun with a bucket of Corona. Thanks to Lisa and Crissy's wedding present we enjoyed a sunset sail from St Thomas to St John which is where we invited a wealthy older couple to share a table secretly hoping they would pay for our dinner (they were crazy and didn't buy... Lesson Learned). Later that evening a crazy girl and her mom invited us to join them on St John for the full moon party, but we politely declined to the alcohol-mushroom infused tea rave (just not our style). We visited the famous Soggy Dollar Bar where our near drowning can be contributed to three factors: the boat was anchored about a mile away from land, we had to hold our bags above water, and we may have drank a few too many painkillers while on the island. Later that week we went on a kayak-hike-snorkel eco-tour where we learned about mangroves, saw the most poisonous tree in the world, put a sea urchin on our tongue, saw a shipwreck, and kissed a chiton for good luck. We went into town one morning for a little shopping where Sarah got two fabulous watches, then back at the Ritz we snuck into a Fisherman's banquet to get free drinks and all the crab legs we could eat. After looking at our pictures we think we may have gone to Duffy's Love Shack one night and drank a shark tank made for 4-6 people. We finished it in about 10 minutes then ordered a couple more rounds, hence the hazy memory (note to future children, we were of age, responsible and had a designated driver). The Ritz was especially accommodating and welcoming, never treating us as if we were young and poor (which was the case). One of the first days of our trip we met the manager in passing, a few days later when we were at dinner he surprised us with desserts and champagne to celebrate our one week anniversary (we didn't even realize it had been one week). We will definitely be going back! All-in-all we can honestly say: "BEST HONEYMOON WE'VE EVER HAD!"
