S: Hawaiian Vacation - September, 2011

 Our Hawaiian Vacation September, 2011
 Relaxing Poolside
We had to wake up at 3 a.m. and drive to the summit - a mere 9,800 ft. elevation - to catch the most beautiful sunrise we have ever seen. Watching the sun rise above the clouds and then hiking down into the crater and through the clouds is an experience we will both treasure for years to come!
 House of the Sun
The Banyan Trees were the most amazing trees we'd ever seen. They not only provided us with remarkable photos, but a place for shade on a humid day and place to relax and take in Old Lahaina and the oceanside. It's funny though – the monkey was sitting on | the bench instead of playing in the trees.
Before.... | During... | After... | Three words - Hawaiian Shaved Ice! It was the perfect treat on this warm Hawaiian afternoon, even though Brian couldn't get over the fact everyone called it “Shave Ice.” The flavored ice was appetizing, but the ice cream underneath made it scrumptious. Thankfully, we only got one because we couldn't even finish it before it melted!
 Luau | Luau
We enjoyed a Hawaiian feast at the Old Lahaina Luau. We ate delicious food like poi, kalua pig, poke, and salmon; drank colorful and tasty Mai Tais; and marveled at live Hawaiian music, hula, and entertainment. And of course, who could forget watching two men dig up dinner (an entire pig) from the ground. Yum!
 What a View!
 Kaeleku Caverns
 The Seven Sacred Pools
 Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach
