This had to be kept to avoid detention in the quarantine. | Front | Back
This is part of my family before the move.
 This is after we packed.
I packed this last; I wouldn't be able to live without it. My mother and father painted this before things went wrong.
This is a picture that I took while waiting to aboard the ship to go to America.
Other families waiting to see the doctor that decides whether they can stay in America or have to return home.
 Just accepted into America.
Map of New York | You have to look close but at the bottom left hand corner is Ellis Island; that's where we went to. I had absolutely no idea what the Statue of Liberty was.
My family and I are packing to go to America. We're leaving in the morning so we need to get a good night sleep. I'm so excited that I don't have to live in Russia, they treat us horrible here. | Day 1: June 2, 1923
Day 2: June 3, 1923 | We're on our way to America there is a lot of people leaving our country to go too. I think we're all trying to be free, and have jobs. My family wants to make a good living for me, my sisters, and brothers. I thought I was excited but it just seems like my bad instinct is coming on. I wish we could know what is going to happen already.
Day 3: June 4, 1923 | All of the people that went to America went to the doctor. They had to go to the doctor before they was accepted to live in America. My family got accepted, it was scary having to wait. My dad and mom have been supporting me ever since. Although, America told me I had to work also. Which sucks cause I'm only 7 years old, while working at the textile factor I have had a finger cut off. I finally got away and the doctor's took care of me I almost died. I just thank the lord I'm still alive.
