1: As one of my High School graduation gifts, my Aunt Kathy promised me a trip to New York City. On July 25, 2008 we departed from Charlotte Douglas Airport in route to LaGuardia Airport. The trip was super and before it was over I was already looking forward to returning. Two years later, in May 2010, we went back to New York. This book, which contains pictures from both trips, is for my Aunt Kathy. Thank you for the wonderful time we shared as you gave me a taste of “The Big Apple”. Love Brad

4: The History of "The Statue of Liberty" | The Statue of Liberty National Monument officially celebrated her 100th birthday on October 28, 1986. The people of France gave the Statue to the people of the United States over one hundred years ago in recognition of the friendship established during the American Revolution. Over the years, the Statue of Liberty's symbolism has grown to include freedom and democracy as well as this international friendship.

11: 2008 is the Final Season the YANKEES will play in "The House that Ruth Built" | Brief History Jan. 3, 1920: The Yankees purchase the contract of Babe Ruth from the Boston Red Sox for $125,000 and a $350,000 loan against the mortgage on Fenway Park. Apr. 18, 1923: Yankee Stadium opens with a 4-1 win over the Boston Red Sox before a reported crowd of 74,200. Babe Ruth hits the Stadium's first home run. Sept. 21, 2008 - Final Game - An emotional Derek Jeter takes the microphone behind the mound and promises to help bring the memories across the street to the new Yankee Stadium in 2009.
