9: After dinner at Patsy's, we got our first glimpse of the lights and sights of Times Square - "The Crossroads of the World."

10: A Day in Central Park

11: Right in the middle of Urban Manhattan is one of the most famous parks in the world, Central Park. We enjoyed strolling through the park on our way to eat lunch at the famous Boathouse Restaurant. Obviously one of the few relaxing areas for residents and tourists to get away from the hustle of bustle of NYC. Definitely a beautiful area with lots of artists, musicians and performers adding to the enjoyment of the Park.

26: After the show, we enjoyed a late dinner at the Broadway Lounge inside the Marriott Marquis overlooking Times Square

27: Every year during Memorial Day, NYC honors the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. It is obvious from all the men in uniform that the ships arrived as scheduled! | Fleet Week in NYC

28: Sanctuary T Restaurant 337B West Broadway | Before exploring in China Town we had brunch in a small, quaint teahouse cafe located in Soho. | Such a fun place to relax and enjoy Truffled Croque Monsieur (a grilled ham & cheese sandwich with truffle oil infused bechamel sauce)

32: While visiting Ground Zero, we met several Marines and Navy men who gladly shared what they knew regarding the construction of the new Trade Centers. They also shared some of their military experiences. | FLEET WEEK | and ....

33: ..... GROUND ZERO | The tarp is covering the recessed memorial pools that surround the footprints of the World Trade Center Twin Towers.

34: PIZZA | NEW YORK'S FAMOUS | NOLITA and LITTLE ITALY

36: THE BIG APPLE | Unique store selling only rice pudding, but more than 20 flavors!

38: The Best Hamburger and Fries so good, the line starts forming before they open

42: Dinner at Novecento, one of our favorites! | Riley Tant joined us for shopping, dinner and karaoke our last day.

43: Next stop: Karaoke in Times Square | Riley was our resident taxi expert! Having lived in NYC for a while, she knew exactly how to "get around".
