DAY 1 Our ship departed Ft. Lauderdale on a Saturday afternoon for a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise.
DAY 2 The Grand Princess is a huge vessel and we spent most of our first full day at sea exploring the ship and just relaxing. There were activities throughout the day and tonight was the first of two formal nights. Did we mention there was plenty of food!
On the first formal night, Princess recognized and celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary during dinner.
DAY 3 This afternoon we will arrive in San Juan, our first port of call. But first, breakfast and a nice morning walk. Later we'll spend some time poolside and soak it all in.
 San Juan, Puerto Rico
"En mi viejo San Juan cuantos sueños forjé en mis noches de infancia..."
The best part of the San Juan stop was the opportunity to see our son Freddie and his family which live on the island. Nelly was especially excited to see her brother.
 St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles
DAY 4 After departing San Juan last night, this morning we arrived on the island of St. Maarten.
Back on the Grand Princess after a great day in St. Maarten.
As we sail on to our next destination, it's time for an evening party by the pool.
 St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
DAY 5 Back on U.S. soil, we discovered beautiful sceneries in St. Thomas and spectacular views from above.
While on the Grand Princess, there were a number of excellent production shows.
DAY 6 At sea today. This morning a culinary demo, then a tour of the galley with the chef. Tonight, the second formal night.
As we enjoy our last formal night of the cruise, we take note that the week is almost over. What a week and experience it has been. However, it's not over yet! One last port of call remains before returning to Ft. Lauderdale.
 Lobster and prawns anyone?
 Princess Cays, Bahamas
DAY 7 Our final port of call was Princess Cays, both beautiful and relaxing. What an end to a memorable week.
Well, the end of an incredible week is upon us. Our luggage is all packed and ready for disembarkation in the morning. .
There is, however, one last evening to enjoy on the Grand Princess and there will still be plenty to do. Members of the ship's crew will even put on a show tonight.
Our Stateroom Steward provided us with amazing service. Good bye, Armando.
